I listened to Tom Lake by Ann Patchett, read by Meryl Streep, and absolutely loved it. It is set during one of the Covid lockdown periods. Three daughters in their twenties have returned home to help their parents harvest the cherry farm. During breaks, their mother recounts the story of her own life as a promising actress. Meryl Streep gives each character their own voice so you feel you are right there as the story unfolds. I have found a new favorite author and book.

I'm reading "The Librarian of Burned Books" (by Brianna Labuskes) for this category. Not only is it non-chronological order, it jumps between 3 POV and 3 countries! I'm confused!!!
I read Ascension by Nicholas Binge. It was about a mountain that suddenly appears in the ocean and does weird things to time. It’s epistolary, written from the pov of one of the scientists who explores the mountain. It was really good, I definitely recommend it if you like speculative sci-fi/horror.
The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger felt like it would never end, but I finished it. Available from Kindle Unlimited, ⭐️⭐️and 1/2.
For this prompt (non-chronological order) #10 I chose The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. This was a really fun read and the layers revealed in each chapter just kept it flowing.
I read Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety by Eric Schlosser Perhaps not the most cheerful of subjects, but it was a fascinating book.
i read The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz for this propmpt. The storyline jumps around a bit detailing various character's lives over time. Read 12th March;3*
I read My Life as a Villainess by Laura Lippman, a book of personal essays that touch upon different aspects and experiences of her life. https://cdnbookworm.blogspot.com/2024...
I read The Teacher by Michal Ben-Naftali, translated from the Hebrew, a historical fiction account of living with the aftermath of survivor's guilt after the Holocaust. A beautiful but heartbreaking storyline.
I read Penance by Eliza Clark. It’s a brilliant interrogation of the true crime industrial complex and takes the form of correspondences at different points in time
I read Happy Place by Emily Henry for this prompt 4.5 stars!! Made me laugh out loud quite a bit. I have enjoyed most of Emily Henry’s books and this one didn’t disappoint
For this one I read Notes on an Execution by Danya Kukafka and I don’t think I’ll ever emotionally recover!! It was an incredible book but just ripped me in half
“The Year of the Sawdust Man” by Alexandria La Faye is an amazing realistic fiction novel with many flashbacks as a young girl deals with her mother leaving her and her father. It is so beautifully written that you will not be able to put it down.
I just finished The Princess Bride abridged by William Goldman . Ive seen the movie so many times, to come back to the book was refreshing. Of course, there’s differences however the book remains an amazing satirical adventure in it own right ! I recommend :)
I’m reading “All the light we cannot see” by Anthony DoerrIt’s jumping back and forth between times and the two main characters Marie-Laure and Werner.
