Kinda hoping all the big, bright, colorful moving images will keep you guys rocking out with me tonight.
Still reading James Herriot. Running on Coke Zero and chocolate right now (pretzel m&ms). I have been taking movie/tv show breaks. I just watched The Theory of Everything (which was great!) and a couple episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I might have to take some lapses tomorrow as well. My eyelids are also getting a bit heavy, so a power nap/bed time might be in the works.
I'm reading the The House on Mango Street - which I recommend to everyone, I LOVE it!. I didn't set out with a reading goal because I didn't think that I'd even have time today to read at all. But I finished reading Tiger Lily this afternoon and I'm halfway through The House on Mango Street. The only thing I'm worried about now is running out of books to read
so far I have read I believe 8 books of course all the books have been short stories but have been able to take a few off mt to read list but I too am going to take a power nap and read some more in a few hours. keep up the reading ladies and gents
Still reading California. It is good, but I keep falling asleep! I may have to call it a night, but then I will be wide awake in the morning and can plow through some reading.
The most challenging thing so far, for me, has been the MASH game! I thought it would be quick and fun, but it took so much thought that I didn't read the entire hour. Yeesh! My two teens had a great time though :)
If you're dozing off and need to take a break for some sleep, no problem! Be sure to check back and have some fun with the challenges posted throughout the night!
Kudos to all of you!
Kudos to all of you!
Jenny, that is awesome about your teens. I hope they play along with you on other challenges too! Spread the love!
Finished one of the short stories in my first book got the night (1/3). I was reading in the kitchen and drinking Pepsi. I was missing all the posts. I thought you were all gone.
Keep it up guys!
Just woke up, it's coming up to nine in the morning local time. Read one drabble, made tea. Here we go.
I have just finished The Ice Princess by Camilla Läckberg.I was was really into this book and could not put it down, but now it is half past midnight and I need to sleep.
I finished one book that I wanted to. So on to the rest when I get up in the morning. well... around 7am my time that is...
I'm half way through The Shadow of the Wind and I absolutely love this book. Because of that, I want to take my time reading it and I'm switching to the next book of this challenge, Life, the biography of Keith Richards. I love rock music and The Rolling Stones are a cornerstone (haha) of this genre. My aunt read this book a few years ago and loved it, so it is a good opportunity to read a non fiction book, in which I'm normally not very interested.
It feels good to be ahead of the challenge, because I'm now on holiday, but will start a new job on the 1st April, so I don't think I'm going to have as much time for reading as I do now.
I'm reading The Emperor's Blades and finished Greener Grass.
I made progress but The Emperor is pretty dense, so I don't read it fast. The last chapters were really interesting and met the prologue (which sold me the book), I'm looking forward to more.
I finished some crêpes (french thin pancakes) earlier.
The main distractions are Goodreads and some unfinished samples in my kindle.

We've been reading for five fantastic hours now. Can you even believe it? I think it is time for a progress report!
What are you reading now?
How much progress have you made towards your reading goals?
Any food or snacks fueling your reading binge right now?
Have you had any major distractions or interruptions?
What has been the most challenging thing so far?
Do you have any words of encouragement or advice for your fellow Read-a-Thonners?
Take a bathroom break and get all jacked up on caffeine and sugar, my friends! Your next update is coming at Hour 7 to give your friendly neighborhood moderator a chance to catch up on her reading. Keep up the great work, guys! Your enthusiasm is incredible! Love it!
