People just notice it way less. Grinding, the heavy breathing, using chains, suggestive lyrics(very common in boygriyos compared to girlgroups), revealing clothing etc

Name three boydroups or soloists who haven’t done any sort of suggestive thing. Any three as long as they aren't nugu or debuted 2 days aho or something, so there's actual content of them
Even Enhypen has Fever and many other songs, from days when Niki was 15-16 too at that

to me bg do more sensual dances cause they really won't be sexualized as much as gg and won't be called names...like even outside of their choreo they do sexy dances....like someone mentioned the body rolls and the popping parts....

K-pop now focuses more on visuals than actual singing talent.I will say, some groups are focusing a lot on chibi girls with chibi voice.
Ik that's good, but there are many examples of groups where they had different textures in voices and it just feels too good. But now, it is just over!
I even feel like some groups have all the members having a same voice (no variation, no uniqness!!)
I'm myself a multistaner, that's why i won't speak ill for any group, it's only my opinion

I was just saying that generally female idols are given more slutty clothes. Like, men are usually given crop tops or something, there are very few who perform topless. But soooo many times female idols are given such short dresses in which they are clearly uncomfortable.
And I mean it's pretty clear they do that to attract male fans... not everyone is that comfortable wearing short clothes especially while dancing when there could be a wardrobe malfunction anytime!
And I shouldn't have said that male idols are better. I apologise for that. It's more of a personal preference.
As for the twerking, I wasn't specifically talking about "smarter" but you have to admit it happens a lot. Even groups like Blackpink twerk a lot in their choreos.

Also, I never said that I don't like ggs, I literally listen to their songs all day! I admire Hwasa because she's my favourite female idol. I don't mean to be a hypocrite.

They wear such short clothes that they end up looking at their dress, instead of focusing at their performance.
Stage performance are very tough, and when you are not fully comfortable, you can not perform well. You should wear dress which is comfortable to you (as you have to perform long hours).
Sometimes their dresses are soo tight that they end up behaving like Robots.

Fr! Not everyone is comfortable wearing revealing clothes. So many times, the female idol's dresses are so short that even their butts are visible. I don't think anyone would like that, other than a few exceptions of course.
Anyway, an Unpopular Opinion: I feel like J-hope is a really underrated artist even though he is the member of the most famous k-pop group. He doesn't get talked about enough, nobody even acknowledges him other than ARMYs.

anyway, no one's ugly and to all the people who call jhope ugly or in general, any kpop idol ugly, they're insecure of their own looks so they take it on idols. Let’s be clear:
This thread has been locked due to ongoing disruptive behavior from two (4-5, but SPECIFIC 2) users who have repeatedly targeted BTS fans with passive-aggressive remarks, thinly veiled insults, and obsessive negativity disguised as “constructive criticism.”
Criticism becomes constructive when it’s respectful, fair, and aimed at improving discussion, not when it’s used as a cover for bitterness, mockery, or jealousy. These specific users I've said "stop" to have had a long history of disguising their personal dislike for BTS as “just being honest,” when in reality, it’s repetitive, petty, disrespectful, thinly disguised jealousy, harassment, and transparently toxic. Now, they have been officially kicked out. One is absolutely never gonna be added back in because they followed both mods to the dm and sent paragraphs after paragraphs of themselves victimizing and later hating on this space, a space where it has once been tainted with their toxicity.
When called out, they deflect responsibility and try to play the victim, a pattern that not only derails meaningful conversations but also makes this community less welcoming for others.
This behavior goes against everything this space is meant to be. All recent offending comments have been removed, and this thread is now locked.
This is a fan space for respectful discussion, not a platform for bitterness, mockery, or fake innocence. Please take this as a firm reminder of the standards we uphold here. Let this be a clear boundary.
