I don't mean it's a useless position, but groups without a minimum of 7-9 members don't reallyneed a leader necessarily. Other than speeches and stuff they don't really get any authority

A good leader can change a group yes but sometimes you have leaders which are just leaders because someone was needed to fill the position and fans will treat it as an extra dose of responsibilities overwork when it doesn't really matter much
Not sure about other groups but in BTS and Straykids the leader plays a very important role in keeping the group together and disciplined.

Yes, that's true, despite the main vocalists (chan and seungmin) and I.N (lead vocal), the rest are pretty good too. These days if an idol looks good they can easily debut and even become popular. For example, Wonyoung from IVE is mostly known for her visuals and her vocals are pretty average. NO HATE!!! I absolutely love so many IVE songs.
Ofc no idol wants to be known as just a visual. Remember during bts' early days people used to put jin down and say that he was just a visual and nothing more. He hated that! Thankfully, he has grown a lot.

Yes, even Sunghoon, i saw a post on insta, where a girl met him at the store, and said "Sunghoon oh my gosh, I love you because you're so handsome" and sunghoon just unpleasantly smiled. This showed, he was upset to be known by his visuals and not talent.

So the thing is the Hyerin recently broke up with her ex-bf (I don't know his name) and soon after Han so hee started to date him.
I think Hyerin also poked han so hee a little and she replied. It got messy.

Don't know about it in detail but I have heard about it. An example would be Gidle, they had 6 members at the time of debut and then Soojin left, Same with Le Sserafim and Kim Garam.
HUGE UNPOPULAR OPINION: These days male idols are better than female idols. They are less Westernized and focus on their performance. Female idols these days do very sexy dances.
Male idols don't really do that much (even if some do) also lip syncing is also less in male idols.
But I have noticed that the number of male idols who do sexy dances is much lesser than females. And I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, as long as it goes with the concept or it's occasional.
Almost all girl groups have been twerking in their choreos these days. There's literally so many of them!
When they sexualize everything it feels like that's how they want to attract fans and not through their talent. This is something that I feel about a lot of western artists as well.
To be fair most male idols do infact do sexy or sensual dances
