i one time said i liked taeyeon's music and got asked if i was a solo stan or a potential akgae? 💀 nooooo- im just stating that i listen to her music. first of all, im only a listener (for now) and i never did stan snsd or disliked anything about the group or the other members. i barely know taeyeon in the first place, im just saying that i listen to her music 😭 this is not toxic solo stan behaviour okayy?? 😭 (not even a stan sssjjssjs)

ngl, sometimes u can talk more about something u hate rather than something u love (if u actually have reasons).
i mean take this example, most 1 star rant reviews on gr are a hell lot longer than 5 star love reviews lol and i think it all zeroes on reasonable reasons

Or maybe it's the going back to it constantly that gets me? Cause I'll write bad reviews and then just never look at the book ever again, I don't engage with it beyond that one read and review, but people can be so constant with the hate it seems exhausting.
Maybe it's just a silly little hobby to them though who knows

realistically, if u were to write a review on an idol, it won't even get that lengthy because once again, u dont personally know them. what else can u say other than shitting on their talent and a action they did that you probably overthought. reasons like those are not valid to hate an idol 😭 js say u dislike their music and leave- 🙏

@Nat I know I only talked about 2 of Hwasa's songs but I don't just like her as an artist but also as a person yk. I love the message that she gives in her song. She gives complete ✨queen✨ vibes.
But if you still think I'm not a stan then I guess you could say I really love her still.
Also, not liking someone can also be expressed politely (positive criticism yk?). You don't always have to hate on somebody and attack them on a personal level.
If you don't like something an idol did, just say that "I didn't like it for whatever reason" but don't cuss and shame them yk. Atleast, not publicly. If you feel something bad about someone, keep it to yourself.
Dealing with hate can be so hard for some people. Many idols have committed suicide because of it. It's terrible :(

The anonymity the internet provides just makes anything worse. That coupled with the weight that companies allow internet comments to carry.
A hate comment made on Twitter should not be enough to ruin an idol’s career.

Time for an Unpopular Opinion: I think IVE's vocals are not that good. NewJeans is much better. No hate though.
Liz definitely has the best vocals in IVE. But Hanni also, has amazing vocals don't you think? I personally don't like Wonyoung's vocals. She's mostly known for her visuals.

I guess the reason for that is that NewJeans don't really push themselves. They almost always have the same tone while singing. Other effects are added while editing.
IVE on the other hand, tries new things. You can easily see the difference between love dive, I am and Kitsch for example.
And yes ofc, 4th gen are not as good as compared to older generations. But still there are a few exceptions.

yess, because 4th and 5th gen's main focus is dance, and visuals. Comparatively, these grps are more in sync and are good dancers than previous gens (majority)

Liz, Yujin and Rei are AMAZING, Wony and Leeseo are good as well, personally my fav vocalist of 4th gen is liz, her notes r chef's kiss. I love I AM

4th gen is mostly just focused on visuals which I feel like is promoting toxic beauty standards even more. Did you guys hear about the Zendaya incident when she came to promote Dune? That was so problematic!

yeah i also don't really get why you need to hate a group too? what did they do to you personally other than appear on your screen. i get it if you don't like their music but you dont know the group members personally so what's the point of disliking them in the first place 🙄
