Every fandom contains toxic fans, but some have more than others, and those ones will just get labelled toxic in their entirety because the population of actual toxic fans is large and loud enough to make it seem like a defining attribute of everyone in the fandom

The Star Wars fandom, for example, is an absolute hellscape, so the entire thing is labelled toxic even though there are fans who are just quiet and enjoy the content.
It’s the same with groups. Enough people pull toxic shit and it’s enough to make the entire fandom look bad

not gonna lie, solo stans are fine ig. but i dont really prefer them sjsjsjsj and kinda don't want to interact with them. most solo stans i met are pretty much like akgaes (but not as bad bad as actual akgaes)
i js dont get why u would want to solo stan one member of a group when they're literally known bc of the group. ive met some people who dislike a group i like and then they say "oh but i think this member is okay because they're pretty cool. the rest i don't like" like okay? it's not that bad but it's a behaviour that i will definetly NOT respect.

Like the “I hate BTS except yoongi because he’s chill” is total bullshit because he is IN BTS. At that point it just sounds like you’re trying to do damage control and not sound like a hater or something. If you hate the rest then what’s the point of liking one of them 🧍‍♀️

Like I listen to Taemin’s solo music but there are only two SHINee songs that I like.
