The BFG by Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake - Restarting December 11th 2015

Captured by a giant! The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, the Fleshlumpeater, the Bonecruncher, or any of the other giants-rather than the BFG-she would have soon become breakfast.
When Sophie hears that they are flush-bunking off in England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

Such a fun book! I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. I liked the BFGs mixed up way of talking, though it got annoying at times.

That's what I thought about the ending as well. And I really liked this. I liked it a lot more than James and the Giant Peach. Even though I need to go watch that movie again, it was one of my favorites when I was younger.

It makes sense. She doesn't think giants should eat humans but humans should eat other animals.

It took me so long to start this, but I'll read it either all today or tomorrow.
I'm up to the Bloodbottler: (view spoiler)[ I think I love the way the BFG talks. I can see it getting really annoying, but at the moment it's really cute. He's so nice! I hope we get more about the dreams, that seems really interesting. And I'm terrified of the other giants. I just can't see Sophie being able to live there happily ever after forever (hide spoiler)]

Page 100, Dreams (view spoiler)[ I love these dreams, they're so interesting! I hope a giant gives me my dreams. I like all the words he's made up, about good and bad dreams. Good on him for fighting back against the other horrible giants! They're so mean to him, for absolutely no reason. Page 154, The Royal Breakfast (view spoiler)[ Thats such a good idea! Making the dream, and sending Sophie to the Palace. Very clever, especially for an eight year old. It could've gone so terribly wrong, so I'm glad it didn't. Well, I haven't finished yet, but I'm sure there'll be a happy ending! I like Mary, the maid. Even if she is quite girly, she seems nice (hide spoiler)]
