I have it on audio book. Whilst the narration is amazingly good, I miss the freedom to jump around and review. I think this is especially true for a short story collect. I can see myself reading in hard copy at sone point.

Annerlee | 24 comments Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream : I really liked this one

(view spoiler)

I think this could be King’s underlying message / challenge for this story? What do you think?

Having recently read YLID & in particular Rattlesnakes, I thought I would reread Cujo. I'm not even 100 pages in yet but I have three things to mention.
Firstly, something that is putting me off a bit is that Tad is only 4 years old & yet he knows about monsters, werewolves & vampires & has apparently seen a lot of horror films. While his parents, Vic & Donna seem like regular people this is appallingly bad parenting. If Tad was 6 or 7 years old I might buy it, but not 4. No wonder he's so scared of the monster in his closet.
Secondly, I see that SK was already taking characters from a previous book & mentioning them in his new book as far back as 1981- in this case, Frank Dodd from The Dead Zone is in Cujo.
Thirdly, there's a character in Cujo called Holly. That name was always there in the back of his head, waiting to be used again one day.
