What do y’all think of Blake lively as Lilly from it ends with us?

So I personally think that they could find a better actor to play Lily but I was pretty happy with Blake Lively. And then I saw the behind the scenes pictures and It was awful, the way they dress her and show her does totally change Blake Lively and It doesn't look like Lily to me. Plus I am angry because I am not happy with the actor who plays Atlas. But yeah I love Blake Lively and her acting, so if she acts good I guess the movies can't be bad...

I definitely thought she could’ve done the part justice for sure, despite the age gap we all were aware of… that was until we all saw the bts photos and videos. And now I fear that they’ve got a vision for the screen adaptation that will be different from what the readers know. The year it’s set it and the ages of the characters… those played just as much of a role in the storyline as the characters themselves. Altering that is definitely controversial. Do I still think Blake Lively can do it justice? Absolutely. Would I have liked to see a genuine book-to-screen adaptation with a cast that better resembled the book? Most certainly. I’ve still got an open mind about it, but lowered expectations.

Honestly feel like they went with Blake because she is a well known and great actress, however it doesn’t make sense with the book since Lily is a young adult. The outfits make the character look so much older than she should be and it kinda stresses me out.

Personally I love Blake as lily but the outfits are disgusting and I hope it won’t ruin the whole movie…

i love blake but not as lilly. me and my friend were talking yesterday and we both agreed that a 35 year old shouldn’t play a 23 year old. other than that she’ll be good

I think Blake Lively is such an amazing actor, but she just doesn’t fit the role for Lily Bloom. I’m honestly not a fan of anyone in the cast. I think Colleen Hoover completely changed the movie and it’s relation to the book. It is nothing like the book, and so I’m kinda disappointed. However I do agree with the tik toks saying that Blake would have made a great female lead for Verity, but just not for It Ends With Us

I mean I always pictured her as Verity but not Lily.
