Shira Dali | 148 comments I used to like her when I started reading but then I started exploring more books and realised that Coho doesn’t have good books and that her ideas are kind of dumb

Emilie | 27 comments Haven’t read any of her books and I don’t think I am going to either.

message 5: by Myrah (new)

Myrah Mubashir (myrahmubbashir) | 4 comments I haven't read any of her books and I'm not planning to. Her story lines aren't my type. Also, after her entire controversy around her son and everything, I don't plan to ever read anything by her. I'm not sure if that controversy is true or not but if it's is, then I genuinely don't understand how you can write books on toxic male figures but then enable a toxic man in real life? how does that work?

♡︎ Kura ♡︎ (nesta’s version) | 197 comments Nope, I’ve read 2 books by her and I just don’t like them. I’ve read It Ends With Us and Reminders of Him. And I just don’t like them.

message 7: by Jemma (new)

Jemma | 22 comments I haven't read any but was debating reading verity. Is it worth reading? A lot of people don't like the CoHo books so was put off reading them

message 9: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Gooding (jgooding17) I do like CoHo. I've read all her series and only one stand alone. I do have other stand alones on my shelf to read. I did not like Verity. It was just too much for me. All her books do have a triggering situation in them. Verity just went too far for me. I have enjoyed all the others though.

message 10: by Sue (new)

Sue Miz (suereads2030) | 238 comments Yes I like Colleen
most her books are good and different some not so much
compared to the repetitive crap that is published lately, I prefere her shocking storyline
and this talking about the "controversy," of her son
I am sorry. I didn't know you were the legal team assigned to the case
as a matter of fact
I don't think there was a case
I believe it was a silly girl looking for her one minute fame
and if you are one of the ppl spreading this, then you are as toxic as ur accusation
anyway
to the person asking
try your self
either you'll love her or not
form your own opinion

Sami | 4 comments my next book is going to be it ends with us is! it good? no spoilers pls! also is there a big cliff hanger at the end? and is there a second book or is it a stand alone book? thanks!

message 12: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Gooding (jgooding17) Sami.... the 2nd book to that is It Starts with us. It goes back and forth in time frames and elaborates on some things from It Ends with Us to give more clarity. I enjoyed both of these. They were my first CoHo books to read.

message 13: by Sami (new)

Sami | 4 comments Thank you! Can't wait to start reading this! This will be my first CoHo book!!

message 14: by Kris (new)

Kris Ty (readwithkris_) | 11 comments I've only read two of her books. "Regretting You" was the first book that I've read, and it was honestly mind-blowing for me. The second book that I've read from her was "Ugly Love," and it was kind of okay for me. I did have mixed feelings and thoughts about it because the plot was not really shocking for me; I kind of expected it already. It was giving me Wattpad book vibes because I kind of predicted the plot on my own. So all in all, Colleen is fine and okay for me as of now. I wouldn't say she's my favorite author because I've only read two of her works, but we'll see in the future.

Yeah there's a sequel called "It Starts With Us". If you like unexpected pregnancy and the main character as a doormat then go on.

Shannon barton | 33 comments I like her

message 20: by Vera (new)

Vera | 33 comments Have only read a few of her books so I’m not the one to judge too harshly. When first started reading romance novels. I actually enjoyed reading her books averagely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. But once you read others work you’ll find that she is sooo overrated. Not that it isn’t good it’s just not great

message 21: by Carley (new)

Carley | 1 comments I enjoyed Verity but was disappointed with the ending. Decided to carry on with some of her other works and the disappointment continued. The stories are shallow and don't leave a lasting impact after you're done. I am surprised she's amassed as much fame as she has but, with that said, she's certainly not the worst writer to have reached this level of global acclaim LOL.

message 27: by Emily (new)

Emily Black | 250 comments idk why but I liked it starts with us and ugly love.

message 28: by Emily (new)

Emily Black | 250 comments but I searched her up and saw her son in a controversy.. and damn. that's a no-no

message 29: by Julia (new)

Julia ~__~ | 12 comments I don’t like CoHo herself BUT I do enjoy her books. I’ve always enjoyed those cringy Wattpad like stories that make you need to close the book and breath for a sec. I think most ppl who don’t like her books have really good reasons for it but I hate that I get bashed for enjoying the books, it truly depends on the person and their reading styles and preferences.

message 30: by Aud (last edited May 29, 2023 08:50PM) (new)

Aud | 16 comments I’ve only read one of her books so far, Nov 9 so I can’t say how much I like the author. In regards to the situation involving her son; she said she discussed with the girl what happened and apologized even sent her address and lawyer contact info, also she held her son accountable for the inappropriate message and talked directly with the girl involved and her son. If what Colleen said she did is true then I think the situation has been addressed. Source: Distractify Dec 8,2022

message 31: by Ami (new)

Ami | 8 comments I’ve read all but 3(this girl, point of retreat m, too late) and honestly she’s not worth the hype. Don’t get me wrong I loved Verity and her really liked it ends with us because it questioned how much empathy I was willing to extend to a person. Other than those the story lines of her books are either weird (without merit), wrong(maybe series, Layla) or basic. Taylor Jenkins read has written way less books but has had better plots and has a better writing style. Yeah i don’t know about her personal life but most of her books to me are mid

message 32: by Shelbiii (new)

Shelbiii I have never really read any of her books. I tried to read It Ends With Us, but it was starting to get boring after the first couple chapters. So I dnf the book and have since never read any of her books. I don’t know if it’s her writing style or maybe that particular book was overhyped

message 36: by Angel (new)

Angel | 426 comments I haven’t read any of her books but I have no interest in doing so. I’ve heard a lot of stuff about the stories she writes and how she is as a person so I’m like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there’s millions of better books I’m sure I could read

Cia Reads 🌶️ | 24 comments I do. “Controversies” aside. Verity has my heartt, NOVEMBER 9 made me feeeel.

message 38: by Yeehawwlovesbooks (last edited May 30, 2023 08:09AM) (new)

Yeehawwlovesbooks I have read Reminders of Him, Regretting You, and Verity, and It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. To be honest with you I do have more of her books on my list but after reading Verity I dont know if I will read anymore of her books. Verity is extremely messed up and I almost did not finish that one. I gave it one star hated it and like I said it was fucked up. I just can't bring myself to read another one of her books. I have found plenty of other authors to replace that

Emms-hiatus(ish) | 109 comments No.

message 40: by Rachael (new)

Rachael | 123 comments I've read Verity and I don't think her writing is very good. It's juvenile at best and quite honestly, I think her content is for horny, straight, white women. I did enjoy the plot line for verity but the way her characters and their relationships are written gave me the ick. I love flawed characters, but her characters aren't flawed, they are just badly written and cringy.

I heard that Verity was her best work so I would not be reading any more because I already disliked Verity.

L 🫶🏾 | 8 comments when i first got into reading i did but as i started to read more authors i realised just how her writing paled in comparison to others
some things in her books are just weird, like in it ends with us the whole chapters dedicated to letters or whatever they were to ellen were just unnecessary
her writing just falls flat in general and is very juvenile
i did like verity but the other books i read really weren't great

message 42: by alisoncndia (new)

alisoncndia | 1 comments I have not read anything from her yet, and that makes me scared. There is so much hype in her books, that I do nlt know if I would like it ;)

message 43: by Bea (new)

Bea (bealibrary) | 76 comments i used to like some when i started reading but i really got over that phase, but by the time i read them "without merit" became one of my all time favorites

Ginger_BrownieReads “Michelle aka Chely” | 36 comments yes! She has some great stuff!

message 45: by MissMelReads2 (new)

MissMelReads2 (melreads2) | 46 comments yes I do

Jennifer 🎀 | 124 comments Her books are ok. I would consider/recommend them for new readers or younger readers.. I used to be a fan but after reading various books I notice she trauma dumps 20% left into her book and rushes endings. Also her son controversy through me off and maybe me feel icky.

message 47: by Me (new)

Me | 40 comments I LOVE CoHo She is my insta buy author I love all of her books. The only book that I don't like and It's writtej by CoHo It's November 9 idk I just really don't like the book....

message 48: by Laci (new)

Laci Jackson (lacijackson) | 42 comments i started off reading her so i would say yes but now that i know other authors and better writing i’ll have to say no

message 49: by Brianna (new)

Brianna Bello | 31 comments I’ve read a few of her books and I really really like them. Hopeless and Layla I think is my favorite so far. However I did really enjoy Verity, Ugly Love and It Ends With Us.

⋆。˚୨ lainabelle ୧˚。⋆ | 36 comments I've never read anything by her and probably not going to. Most of her books are very hyped up which can lead to disappointment, and I despise that in books. Oh and also her books seem very wattpad-ish. Just not for me I guess. And the controversy around her son, even if that's true or not.
