i cant access the SS right now so if someone wanted to add that to the spell out that would be great
I put Big Fish on the SS but it only works for a SIO if needed. Should I leave it there or remove it? If it does work for anything else, I'm not sure what but definitely not for Route Info.
Vicki, I added it to the spell out, but we will wait on posting, to make sure we can complete the entire spell out! I can post it once we are sure!

I added Jammin Jenny's book for the last E for the first spell out. Jenny, if you don't know if you'll finish it, let me know. I think that just leaves your review Kade, whenever you get it done. I can post that spell out in the review thread after that if needed.

Start: May 20th at 12:00 AM (in your time zone)
End: May 26th at 11:59 PM (in your time zone)
Please check in on May 26th between 4:00 - 6:00 PM Eastern. This doesn’t mean you can stop reading for the round, it’s just the team checking in for bonus points.
Route Info: These will be generally easy tasks to complete for each leg of the race. This portion will have at least 15-20 tasks per leg. All repeatable.1. Read a book set in Belgium
2. Read a book with a red cover
3. Read a book with a gold cover
4. Read a book with a black cover
5. Read a book where the title letters are in yellow or gold
6. Read a book that has a title ending with a letter in BELGIUM
7. Read a book from an author that is from or currently lives in BELGIUM
8. Read a book that has a cat on the cover
9. Read a book with the word 'DENSE' found in text (pg/% & quote)
10. Read a book that that has an edition written in Dutch, French and German (you don't have to read that edition)
11. Read a book where 'LION' is found intact in the title/subtitle.
12. Read a book where the author's first and last initial are in BELGIANS
13. Read a book where the main characters first name starts with a letter in BRUSSELS
14. Read a book that is tagged 'Monarchy' at least 10 times
15. Read a book where the series title has the letters B, E, L, G, I, U, M in it (in any order)
Detours: This will be a list related task. Teams will have two lists to choose from and will need to read 5 books from one list. This can be completed by at least two people from a team (one person cannot complete this task).The name chosen for the new state is derived from the Latin word Belgium, used in Julius Caesar's "Gallic Wars", to describe a nearby region in the period around 55 BCE. Belgium has also been the battleground of European powers, earning the moniker the "Battlefield of Europe", a reputation reinforced in the 20th century by both world wars.

Roadblocks: This will be a spell-out task. Each team will get the same word. It can be completed as many times as you can. Intersections: This will be a buddy read related task. Meaning you will have to work with someone new (whether on your team or another) and read a book together. The buddy can also be someone in the group but not participating in the challenge. You will need to have at least 4-5 comments per buddy read.Read a book with someone new within the group. BOTM can also count for this task. This can be repeatable.
U-Turns: Just like the yield task, each team will have up to 3 U-turn opportunities (once per month). After the task has been revealed and read for, the team will then decide who to use their 'U-turn' against. By forcing another team into a U-turn, you will be taking away 10 bonus points from that team.Belgium's political institutions are complex; most political power rests on representation of the main cultural communities. Speed Bumps: After check-in day, if your team was randomly selected for last place, you will have this task to complete. It will be a super easy task that one person can complete. For example, 'Red hair on cover (any book edition will count)' or 'Published in January (any year)'.Read a book with an MPG of GRAPHIC NOVEL or COMIC
Switchback: This will also be revealed after check-in days and will be a task related to where the team was previously.

I'm going to be a backup, emergency only for the Detour List. I have a few books I can read, but I'm trying to get done with some others and these are low priority until then. If we are feeling itchy Wednesday, I can jump in with one.
I cleaned up the Banked Books tab a bit, it was getting hard to figure out what has been posted or not, and separated things so we can more easily see what's been reviewed, what hasn't, etc.Please don't check the box unless you move your book to the Week tab. If your book needs a review, and you have time, please go for it!

Ok.. total honesty here… I’m completely confused with the weekly tabs and that is why I have just been posting everything to the banked book tabs. This challenge is still a bit new to me so I’m still just figuring it out. I read/listen to plenty so please just bare with me. 🙂

This challenge is still a bit new to me so I’m sti..."each week has certain tasks to complete. the mod posts in the chat before the start of each week to tell us what the tasks are. so the next cycle will be week 8. we then figure out what task / etc our book will fit and place it in the week 8 spreadsheet.
For certain tasks, we need a certain number of books to be read to earn the points. for example - detour. we need a minimum of 5 books to be read to earn the points. For Detour, we are given the option to choose one list out of two the mod gives us. Then we have to choose the 5 books from that one list.
