In the title of this group, Grace Livingston Hill (and similar) I'm going to focus on the "and similar" part now. What do you think about, in the future, reading a book here and there, from authors such as Janette Oke, Tracie Peterson, and/or Beverly Lewis? All of them, I'm well acquainted with their stories, and they're not offensive.
Janette Oke
Tracie Peterson
Beverly Lewis

Olivia (oliviashortcakes) I haven't read any of those in years, but I remember really loving Janette Oke.

That's great, Olivia! Janette Oke, Tracie Peterson, and Beverly Lewis are all enjoyable, wholesome, and have good Christian witnessing in them. Good to hear from you!

Olivia (oliviashortcakes) They are! It's been probably 15 years since I've read them. But I've read all three of them and found their stories so sweet. Hope you're doing well!

Well, it's time for you to get back to the good old-fashioned Godly stories. Do you have time to read either selection we've done or are in the process of reading?
One is "The Challengers", and the other is "The Obsession of Victoria Gracen".
The Challengers has a STRONG message about salvation through Jesus Christ.
I hope you can find the time. :)
I'm doing well, God is good all the time. Praise Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior!
Psalm 34:19 - "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." He does, He has, and He will always be there with me.
I hope to hear from you again soon.

Olivia (oliviashortcakes) I may try some again in the future. I've read a few GLH books in the past.

Yes! All the time God is Good! ❤️

Linda Martin (lindajm) I'll just go along with what the group wants to read. I haven't read any of those authors so I can't share an opinion on them.

Thanks, Linda. :) You're such an asset to our group, for more reasons than that.

Linda Martin (lindajm) I have a suggestion. I'd like to read A Singular Life mentioned in chapter 18 of The Obsession of Victoria Gracen.

I can put it up for a vote.

Linda Martin (lindajm) I got a copy on Kindle. I'm curious about the book because it was apparently one that Grace Livingston Hill read and was inspired by.

OK. I looked it up, and the physical copies are a little expensive, but it does look like a good read.
