I once had a short story published in Devolution Z, but it was under a different pen name. When I changed my Goodreads profile to my active pen name, the book remained under my Author Dashboard. I don't want a connection between my old pen name and my current one. Could you please help me remove the following title from my authored books?

You shouldn't be changing your name from what was assigned to you, nor editing book data to be incorrect. I have restored the correct name to the magazine. Please add punctuation to your initial, as that is GR policy, or ask support to do it.

Done. Please do not change the author name to something else just to take it off your profile. These changes are against policy. Just be patient until a librarian can fulfill your request.

How long will that take to reflect, as it's still on my profile?

Also, where might the community go to suggest policy updates, because it is a little mind boggling that books not released by an author can appear on their profile. What is Goodreads and it's constituents doing to counteract that?

Goodreads is heavily cached. Changes might take from a few hours to days to reflect. The book is not in your list of books as you can see here.https://www.goodreads.com/author/list... your profile front is separate and that takes longer.

Librarians are unpaid volunteers. If you have suggestions you can direct them to staff https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta... to fix this issue contact staff using the link provided and ask to be taken off the default profile. Tell them you are getting the automatically imported books.

It's actually quite simple; the importer brings in the data to the [default] profile for each name. How would it know otherwise?

Black Adder was a book I wrote under my maiden name back in 2002. Up until now, it's been on my author page. It's out of print, so I suppose it's not a big deal. I just don't want anyone else claiming it.
