Luba | 3 comments Hi friends! My name is Luba and I’m new here, I’ve recently taken some time off work (nursing) and my new years resolution is to read more! I’m a millennial (don’t throw rocks haha!!) I’m interested in thriller and mystery books, i love Stephen king but recently interested in romantic psychological thrillers (sometimes steamy?) AND FEMALE LEADS! I just just finished Verity and a Flicker in the Dark and enjoyed those! I also just started “my sisters keeper” today! I have a fur child named Charlie who is a blond rescue mutt! I Can’t wait to participate in discussions, read recommendations and make friends!

Brandi Gray Hi Luba! I am new here also. Haven't formally introduced myself yet but hello from Alberta, Canada!

Brandi Gray Oh and I have a rescue mutt too. Max is my fur baby. Golden Retriever/Lab/German Shepard mix. I am reading Project Hail Mary currently. Really good so far. I needed something different after a couple heavy reads.

Alexandra Hodder | 1 comments Check out Frieda McFadden and BA paris! They both have some good psychological thrillers but the spice level is meh lol

Luba | 3 comments Thank you for the welcome! I’m currently reading my Sisters Keeper - Jodi Picoult which isn’t really a thriller, but I’m not even sure how to categorize it! Enjoying it very much!!

Luba | 3 comments Replying to Brandi: SAY HI TO MAX FOR ME GOOD BOY

Replying to Alexandra, thanks for the recommendation I think I’ll start with “Behind Closed doors” seems to be the most known! Adding it to my list!!

Vicky | 1 comments Hi Luba! I’m in Stockton, ca. not too far from SF! Verity got me hooked on reading last year and I’ve been obsessed with thrillers since. I recommend Riley sager, Lucy Foley, AJ Finn and Freida McFadden.

I think if you liked verity, you might like the housemaid and the housemaid’s secret by Freida McFadden. Happy reading!

Holly Mcclain (hmcclain) | 21 comments Hello from Tennessee! I am not super new but new to discussions so I enjoy sharing thoughts and getting recommendations for something different. I am strictly audiobooks these days. They go EVERYWHERE with me! Plus I have done some narrating, which I loved, but have put on hold for a while now due to this and that -mostly health related. I am a mom to three humans who are supposedly adults but I have my doubts, Auntie to 3 little Monsters (as I lovingly refer to them-they light up our lives!), and Mommy to 2 puppers who are both Shih Tzu/poodle mixes, boys, Rory who is almost 7 (more black poodle at 10 lbs soaking wet) and Nico, 3 (who is apparently a new breed of GIANT shih Tzu and tops the scale at 20 lbs dry)...and an almost 16 year old leopard gecko named Cleo (◠‿◕)
I tend to alternate seriously psychological thrillers (Gillian Flynn, etc) , police procedurals (MAJOR Michael Connelly fan), and cozies (Donna Andrews and Sofie Ryan are top of my list). I adore British authors and authors from really any other country as I "collect" accents for one thing, and I just love learning what life is like in places I may never see otherwise. Wow, okay, that was more of my intro than YOUR welcome...so WELCOME!! (◕ᴗ◕✿)

Welcome, Tennessee! Thanks for the extensive share! I agree with what you wrote above, with my order ranking being police procedurals, then mystery/thrillers, the cozies. But yes, anything with an accent! I don't collect them but I love them. And yes to audiobooks, I listen to them 3 out of 4 times I "read" a book.
