If I Could Tell You by Elizabeth Wilhide – 2 Stars

The blurb for this book was the main reason I read it, and I don’t remember the last time I was so disappointed. Whilst what is mentioned in the blurb does happen in the book, what it doesn’t mention is that the main theme of this book is adultery and people cheating on their husbands / lovers and being generally incredibly selfish. I found it very difficult to connect with this book – none of the characters were likeable and so I had no empathy for them, and the pace at times was so slow. In the end, I read this as quickly as I could just so that I could get through it and move on to a better read.
