The Kingdom of Amandla discussion

Julia had recently been given new information. She was gonna get interrogated. It was an amazing thing to discover while eating breakfast. Along with the fact that there was a lot more security in the prison. Upsetting. Messed up the escape plans a lot. Especially with the new female guards though it was nice not to be the only girl now.
She was waiting in her cell, wearing her orange ragged clothes. Replacement day would be tomorrow, as once a month she got a new set of clothing.
Her cell was small, not very nice either. Just like her! Black-painted bars surrounded her with a barred door and a metal sign reading, "Death row prisoner 21". That was it. The guards had a book with all of the extra information. She remembered what it looked like, as she'd seen it used before... She blinked her memory revealing the image to her once again. She'd memorized it since it was a big thing to know what they had on her...
Prisoner Number: 21
Sentence: Death Row
Name: Julia Isana Walter
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Crime: Treason
...
She was remembering everything when she heard the doors open. Somebody was here for a prisoner. Probably the prince for her. Since she had an interrogation today. They weren't getting anything from her. She would break out or die before trusting the monarchy. They had disrespected every single one of their people so, she would serve them to her fullest.
One thing the prince knew by heart was that information that was at steak could well be important. Leaks had been happened, along with these minor attacks, not that they were all minor. This put stress on all of the royal family, not that he felt especially bad for his father. So, as he approached the cell, he pauses before the bars.
There she was, the girl that committed treason. He narrows his eyes, holding out his hand as a guard handed him a small folder, in which he opened to review the contents.
"Julia..." He begins, voice soft. "...I can only assume you know why i'm here. Let's just get this over with." The prince swallows and tilts hos head. How dark it was down here, cold. If she was in death row, wouldn't she be clawing at the bars? Oh...no, of course not, that was only in the movies. Still, it was clear anyone would want to escape. Hopefully not now, however.
Julia looked up. She hadn't had enough time to plan for this. So quickly, one formulated. She would have to act like she was set up. And that was all the time and details she could figure out.
"Well.. Well.. Well... If it isn't Prince Lynx..." she said slowly standing up. She dusted herself off calmly making her look totally collected and ready for the big moment. "It is a surprise to be meeting you down here..." she added completely ignoring his question. He would have to fight for her to cooperate with him. That was the main this when it came to handling her. Nobody controlled her, and she answered nobody. People would have to fight to control her, and that had never happened yet. All had given up before she gave in...
Then again, he wasn't going to be fooled easily, or so he thought. The young prince wanted to do his best, however he was stuck just by studying what little he had in this file. Lynx was told this was all they had so far in one file, yet that was ridiculous. "...Ah, okay. Sorry. Let's start - As I said earlier..." softly he clears his throat.
Julia caught a peek at the files and smiled a wicked toothy. Exactly what she remembered the last time she peeked at the file. They hadn't found her fiance yet. Nor her parents. Somehow, they didn't have any residency or schooling information either. How awful was the guard and royal family at finding this information?
"Oh, that.." she said rolling her eyes. She popped a hip and crossed her arms making it seem like she thought she was better than the prince. "You see..." she began picking up one of her hands and looking at her nails, examining them for the full brat and princess girl effect. "I'm not ready for that... So, you'll have to wait..." she said the words trying to buy herself more time. Maybe he would bend to her will. If he did she would definitely have an upper hand at things.
"I don't like being told what to do but....I suppose this is your cell, not mine. Well, then, at least tell me -" Lynx smiles sweetly. "How are you today?" How infuriating, the way she stood. Yet he maintained his smile.
(( Sorry for the late response! School's out but I'll try to stay a bit active btw. ))
Julia looked up smiling. He saw the rage showing in his eyes but, somehow he was keeping the rest of his face calm and collected. Too bad though. His eyes had already given him away. And she knew she was the one in control here.
"Well my prince..." she said stepping up to the bars of her cell directly in front of where the prince was standing. "I'm doing quite fine." She stated the sentence as she made a flirty move that would be surprising to everyone. Including herself sadly. She reached her arm out of the cell and stroked the prince's chin in a slightly romantic gesture. The thought of any romantic or even friendship with the prince made her want to puke though. Probably be the same for him if it was with a death row prisoner of his.
She quickly pulled her hand back but not too quickly, making sure she didn't seem frightened at all. She kept everything in check. Her face, her eyes, her body movements. He wouldn't pick up on anything if he hadn't already. Then, she turned around and walked away from the prince slowly waiting for him to speak after the slight shock they both were probably in.
Lynx is visibly surprised. Just like Julia would be mentally, he takes a quick step back and shudders. That was sudden, why on earth did she even do that? And why did it feel genuine? No, he knew better. It was part of her game, as Lynx shakes his head and grimaces. Maybe keeping a safe distance would be easier, better even.
The prince sighs, feeling hardly attracted to this woman. Nothing against her, personally, just Lynx couldn't be persuaded into believing her just by these gestures. Especially in her being a criminal. "I'm glad to hear that, Ma'am." He hums, shaking off what had just happened. "Do you believe you should be down here? or was this a set up?" This is where he chose his words carefully, knowing each odd and ending to the possible responses. His face remained the same, curious and harmless, even when inside he mapped this quickly. Lynx even gets a little closer to the cell again, leaning up against the bars to hear her better.
(( Thanks!! ))
Slowly, she stopped and turned around till she could lock eyes with Lynx. "Well... Wouldn't you like to know..." she said slowly drawing out her words. This could go either way now. She was starting to give in. She had to be stronger and more dominant. She still hated herself for flirting with the prince but, she decided to drop it an punish her stupid actions later.
"Why yes, I would." He narrows his eyes, tapping the bars metal Rhythmatically, his face turning into a frown. "Everyone has a story, and not all can be heard. I want to hear some of yours, Julia. I'll listen." The prince could promise this easily. He really could listen, but really? He wish he could relate better to these people. Oddly so.
"Well then.." she said stepping up to the bars. She could hear a bit of pain and interest in his voice. He wanted to understand the rebellion from what she understood or heard. But, it would be up to him how much he got. "How much of my story would you like?" she asked him placing her hands together in front of her folded. Depending on his answer, she'd have some demands to meet. Which would be quite nice since he was bending to her will already. He just didn't notice it...
"Then you get none of the story." She said the words calmly. "You obviously don't know me at all so, you don't get to know me any more unless you ask for it."
Julia smiled. He was obviously not trained for this. Or trained to be a king. "I'll speak if you follow my requests..." she said calmly. Her mind was ticking making a secret plan now.
"If you agree to do them," she said trying to take control. Maybe he was dumb enough to accept them before hearing them... Never know.
"Well, at least the prince has one brain cell," she muttered as an insult. She didn't know if he heard or not but none of the guards did.
"Well, I will need to request a lone meeting if you wish to hear my story. No recorders, guards, and not in this prison cell," she said stating her needs for her story. "And if you wish for the full story with extra details, you'll have to extend by sentence to give me a longer time to live," she said adding a probably less agreeable statement to the mix. Might as well try though.
Julia paused a tease coming to mind. "Well... Hold on the timing," she said taking a step so she was basically against the bars. "If I don't wear the prison outfit, what will I be wearing?" she asked. It was a genuine question and a tease for the prince.
((Also, check my response in relationship request fr Lynx's thing if you get a chance. ))
[[ Okay hah ]]
"Yes, I do tease quite often. The other prisoners might complain a bit to you. But I've learned to make the best of what is remaining of my life," she said rolling her eyes. She had decided that since she wasn't going to get out of there. She'd tried once already when she got here and that halved her year till death to six months. And now she had one month. "And I'll take some new clothes since you probably won't have my old ones. Some jeans and a cute crop top t-shirt would work."
She smiled. "Well, come back with my cloths and when you're ready to talk," she said rolling her eyes again feeling good when he laughed. The second eye roll though was more of a joking one surprisingly.
"No, I'll see you soon," she said. She watched him leave then moved to the back of her cell beginning to plan.
Lynx walks back into the prison. Now, this time he wasn't as nervous. In hand, he had a small beige bag - inside, was clothing his maids had said would suit her best. Jeans and a cropped top, along with a few other things the maids insisted on adding that Lynx didn't bother to question or look at. This was for her, not him after all. He walks to her cell, guards following closely behind for the time being, as he puts on a more warm smile.
Julia was sitting on the floor of her cell in her ragged clothes. It'd been a day since she'd seen the prince so, she had a story prepared. Somewhat real with fake bits in it to make her seem innocent.
She glanced up to see the prince causing the sound of footsteps. And some guards there. She rolled her eyes, security had definitely taken a step up within the last day or two.
Lynx stops at her cell, shooing the guards aside and taking in a breath. "Helloooo....I'm back. Are you ready?" He smiled again, tilting his head and pointing to the bag. "Here's this. If you need anything else, feel free to ask me or a maid...Oh, and I dunno...do you think I could take you from your cell?" He asked, curiously. Obviously, the guards objected, shaking their heads in disbelief.
"I'd love to be anywhere other than this rustic place," she said giving him approval. He stood slowly dusting herself off again. Realizing how awful she smelled, courtesy of the once-a-freaking-week shower schedule, what was the king thinking? Had he gone mad?
She made her way to near the door of her cell and waited to be released.
Julia stepped out of her cell and snagged the bag like a 5-year-old kid on Christmas morning. She was excited about new clothes. Especially since it wasn't orange. Judgementally the ugliest color in existence with green in a close second.
"The king doesn't know the difference between any of the prisons," she said rolling her eyes. It was a fact for her. He hadn't been here in a while. The second in command of the guard basically ran this place now since the king was useless. Especially on finding information about the prisoners.
"Ohhh... I can argue with you about him starting a war," she said stepping out of her cell. She knew he was at war. Maybe not another kingdom but, with the rebels. The prince just didn't know the danger he was in. Plus, she'd helped the rebels multiple times herself. Just a bit of good deeds she had done. This prince just didn't understand the causes and mess his father had made. She'll inform him well soon.
"Lead the way to the bathroom," she said. "I want out of these rags." And to be truthful, she really did. A nice outfit would feel nice. Especially since she could clean up a bit in the bathroom as well.
(( bathroom? I can make a long post then we head to a random room for the interview or interigation or whatever. Or straight to the interrogation, I really don't care. ))
(( Okay, those solo's are long so it might be in the morning cause me is tired and hiding from my parents rn to be online XD ))
