Gilbert Finished the reread of Northanger Abbey, continuing the read of Sir Charles Grandison(volume IV, letter XXXV), and starting The Orphan of the Rhine.

Gilbert Finally finished The Orphan of the Rhine (Jane Austen Northanger Abbey Horrid Novels) by Eleanor Sleath The Orphan of the Rhine by Eleanor Sleath.

Starting the seventh and last of the Jane Austen Horrid Novels: Clermont (Jane Austen Northanger Abbey Horrid Novels) by Regina Maria Roche Clermont by Regina Maria Roche.

Frankly it's gotten to be a bit of a bore essentially reading and rereading the same story line time and again.

I know how you feel. Orphan of the Rhine was a chore to get through.

Gilbert are you saying that a few of these books are too similiar in context?

Gilbert A few? The basic themes, at least to me, seem written by the same person, time after time.

That is odd. Would make you wonder for sure.

Gilbert Well, I've finished the Horrid Seven. I don't have a lot to say about gothic literature other than their sameness shows up pretty quickly and gets to be boring after the third or fourth volume.
