Lily-Pond Academy discussion
Oh noo! I dont fall for guys, haha. Also i'm bisexual" she signed apprehensively. Ellaine was happy that she and Will were making friends.
“We’re in the same boat there. I’m homosexual. Queer, as my locker might state.” Will signed back, putting his book under his arm so he could do so. “Shall we go find a table now?”
Oh..yeah, i guess so..Yeah how about table number 3? Ellaine signed. She liked Will's infj attitude, similar to her's in a few ways.
“Sure.” Will signed and walked over to the third table, sitting down. He opened the book and read the Table of Contents before he continued. This one was a guide, and although he knew basically everything about DnD, he still wanted to read it.
((WHY ARE MY RESPONSES NOT SENDING?! GAHHHH!!!))
Will’s gaze flickered up to the girl. He tilted his head slightly. “This one? It’s an Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Guide.” He replied in sign language, looking down at the pages. “It’s actually called ‘The Player’s Handbook’, though. It’s understandable if you’re not interested in this kind of thing. It’s childish, I know.”
Beau hummed as he strolled into the library, but stopped quickly as he realized it was dead quiet. He noticed the two people sitting at table 3. I wonder why they aren’t talking? he thought. He glanced at them before adjusting the collar of his shirt and making a beeline to the Plays & Poetry section—he was in search of Wilde, and by god he was going to find some.

"Aah! I just love DnD! is it not the best!" Ellaine signed
Will perked up at that, ignoring the person who’d entered the library though he’d spotted them. “Yeah, it is!” He smiled. “Everyone thinks I should be a Cleric when we’re playing campaigns, but I’m actually a wizard. 5E class. How about you? Ever played it yourself?”
"I used to, when I was eight. then my mum threw the game because she thought it was "childish"." Ellaine sighed
Will nodded, thinking for a moment before he signed, “Well…..I still have the game setup. We could make our own little group for it! But I also have….no friends besides you….so…..” He stopped and frowned, putting his hands down on the table while he thought to himself in silence.
Beau found the book he was looking for (‘The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde’) and cheered internally. He quietly but excitedly took the book from the shelf (as to not be a disturbance), and sat down against the wall, opening the book and flipping through it trying to find a specific work.

"We can make some!" Ellaine said enthusiastically
Will turned even more shy that very second. He began to fiddle with his t-shirt sleeve before signing, “I don’t know….people don’t really….well, I’m not very….liked, here. Honestly I’m shocked you’re still talking to me, and plus you’d have to translate all the time since not very many people know sign language..”
Ellaine sighed and placed her hand over Will's. " I had a friend, Ria. We spoke in sign most of the time for she couldn't speak..As for talking to you- you're the only friend I have here, apart from my step brother- who's been ignoring me and getting popular recently. I get it, Will."
Will halted at the touch. His gaze flickered from Ellaine’s hand to her eyes, and he nodded slightly in understanding for what felt like the hundredth time that hour. “If you feel uncomfortable speaking sign language, you don’t have to. I’m fine if you speak, I just can’t say anything verbally in response.” Then he added in his head, ‘From what I know of, anyways..’
Smiling weakly, Will’s gaze softened. “Thank you. That means a lot. So, how about that campaign? It’s gonna be hard to make a bunch of friends in one shot.”
“Yeah, sure. Maybe.” Will signed back, returning the smile a little weaker then Ellaine. “Where should we start? I don’t pay attention to everybody’s schedules, so when the younger ones get out of class is completely new to me.”
((hey Howler, sorry, i'm having exams in a week and really busy, as today's diwali in India and we have a whole lot of festive chores lol))Well...nor do I, but we can find out with the teachers! Ellaine signed
((Ooooh! The exams aren’t fun…I have those this week. But that’s super cool! Festivities are neat, even if they’re- er… cleaning? I’m not sure what y’all do in India- xD))
“You want us to go-” Will seemed to hesitate, glancing around anxiously. “Ask the teachers of all people? I mean- w-we don’t have to, we could just, like, watch the bell or….or something..”
((Oh, no! Best of luck! And basically Diwali's a very important festival here where we light lamps, eat sweet, and yeah, cleaning's also one part!))Ellaine looked at Will, his bare confidence dropping every second. She thought for a minute and then signed, " Will! I have a friend called Hunter. She knows some kids in the lower school. We could ask her!"
((Same to you for next week! And that sounds so interesting! Wish we had something like that in Wyoming, but nooo. The only thing we have here happens once a year during the summer and it’s Frontier Days. XD))
The brunette locked eyes with her instantly. “You should have mentioned her before, not as a last resort!” He replied in sign language. Though, he didn’t look angry — just relieved. “I guess that’ll work.”
((Thank you! And haha, you must come here to India during Diwali, or Holi (festival of colours) its beautiful!))Ellaine raised her fist in the air. " We're all set, Will! DnD ROCKS!" she signed as best as she could.
((I wish I could! It sounds so cool! Maybe I’ll go there when I’m older. xP))
The faintest laugh in the world came from Will. It was so quiet and soft that you would have to straight up be against him in order to hear it. He too then raised his fist in the air. “Yay! Dungeons and Dragons forever!” He signed happily with his one hand, struggling only slightly.
((Yeah you must!))Just then, Hunter walked in to the library. She spotted two kids at Table 3 who were not talking, but signing. One was her classmate and friend, Ellaine. "Hey, El!"
Ellaine looked at Hunter and waved. "Hi! Just a question. Your friend studies in the lower grades, what time does she leave?"
Hunter thought for a few mintues.
The brunette turned to look over his shoulder. Not knowing if the girl could speak sign language, he remained still for the most part, not speaking at all. Though, while the two had their short conversation, Will gradually zoned off to stare at the table like it was the most fascinating thing ever — so-be it, nobody would think so, and therefore, it was not.
But he decided to keep himself zoned out for the remainder of the time until someone prodded him back into the real world out of his head.
((I love Willy Nilly sm in this group. XD))
Will had looked up just in time to spot the hand movements. He rose up his hands and responded with, “I’m William.” He signed, tapping his foot lightly.
Beau, who had been rifling through his book (Wilde’s immersive, okay?), looks up to observe the (silent) conversation happening across the library. He wonders why they’re signing rather than speaking, but thinks it’s interesting. For a while, he just observes as the conversation progresses.

((Sorry. I have been busy))
Hunter waved at him. "So yeah, as you guys were saying, Lamla ((not a real oc)) leaves at 1.45pm."
((You’re fine, no worries. ;D))
The boy waved back and nodded. “Okay, thanks for the help.” He finished signing. His mood, however, changed once again, because he could feel eyes on them. He slowly looked over his shoulder at Beau, and when he met eye contact he looked away quick as ever.
((Hey Howler I have to pull Ellaine out of the library, so maybe we could continue with Hunter?))Ellaine checked her watch and said, "Sorry! I have to go!" She ruffled Will's hair and patted Hunt's shoulder before running.
Hunter sat down and said, "You OK? Your mood is different."
((Mkay! I was actually gonna send Will out of the library soon anyways. Planning something with Aku, so yeah. You’re fine! ;D))
Will smiled weakly at Ellaine, waving goodbye to his new friend before turning to Hunter. He nodded glumly, looking over his shoulder again before making hand movements again. “Just on-edge. Sorry, I do that a lot. Just not used to people necessarily. I’m sure you know me as zombie boy, anyways. Not really my actual name though.” He signed, after that setting his hands down on the table.
((Yeah sure!))Hunter smiled at him. She was bad at signing. So she said, "Nah, kid. I don't know you. I'm new here and Ellaine is kinda my only friend. And hey, some people are just shits, but some? they're actually nice."
Will nodded, probably having realized that she might not be the best at signing. He was definitely a quick learner. “Same here.” He signed a bit slower this time so she could process it better. “Maybe we could all hang out sometime?”
Hunter grinned. "Sure, kid. Sounds good. And hey, Ellaine's nice, right? She welcomes all sortsa people with open arms."
The small junior nodded once more, but it was just a little head bob, not really a nod. “She is. Well, it was nice to meet you — I have to go too. Locker duties.” He signed with a mute sigh. “Bye, new student!” Will signed with a friendly smile before getting up out of his seat, grabbing the Dungeons and Dragons book, and heading out of the library.
Hunter waved after him and sighed. She too, was busy. She picked up a book "Arelia" and sat down to read it.
Arabella walked into the library. She sighed softly as she set down her brown bag at the table closest to the window. She sat down and pulled out her laptop.
Hunter looked up to see a girl pulling out her laptop. "Oh, hi! Are you busy, if so, I'll leave this table." she said softly.( ( Do you think this'll get romantic? Idk) )
((I forgot to turn on notifications.. sorryyy!))((uhh, if you want it to? I'm cool with that.))
Arabella looked up, having not noticed the girl sitting at the exact same table she was. She began shaking her head. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were sitting here." She whispered, "Oh, no, don't, it's okay. I'm sorry."
((it's fine.and im ok with anything.))
Hunter smiled very softly. "Don't apologise! I'm Hunter Hazell..What's your name?"
