Okay..i think this one qualifies, just depends on how one refers to this iconic band. Peter Green out, Lindsey/Nicks in. I assume 2 vocalists is okay? And the 2nd choice might stir up controversy as well; Paul Day (who?) out, Di'Anno in. Yep, Di'Anno wasn't the first, followed by Bruce Dickinson in 1981. That honour goes to the long-forgotten Paul Day, who left the band in 1976. Their 1980 self titled debut album has always been my favourite; so it's Di'Anno for me, and for those who don't favour the heavy stuff, I've picked a softer track from the album:

It's down to Brass of course, but the theme does specify the vocalist on noms should not be "the first one a band recorded with", and Paul Di'Anno was the first singer Maiden went into the studio with, for the famous Soundhouse Tapes demos in 1978. Paul Day was gone two years before that time, having been allegedly fired for lack of stage charisma.

After DukePhil Collins took over as lead vocalist for A Trick Of The Tail, the first studio album after Peter Gabriel departed.
Guitarist Huw Lloyd-Langton was not known for his lead vocals but stepped up to the mic on this track.

Ummmm yes, the list is looking pretty torturous for me too, old bean.
It looks like classic and prog rock bands are most likely to lose/replace their singers. We have 22 nominations this week and I'm capping the votes at SIX as any more might constitute cruel and unusual punishment for some voters. Brass hasn't provided any rulings on the nominations, so I'm accepting them as given. Here's the playlist and, as usual, all votes to be in by midnight Sunday please.

Apols for interrupting the voting but I have a question for Val...Val, re: Theme 355 - Your favourite track (or two tracks) from a best-selling studio album (if 2, can be from 2 different albums).
What constitutes a "best-selling" album? Top 10 in the UK album charts? Or number of copies sold, gold disc? Etc etc
A classic and prog rocker's dream playlist! I could've voted for most of this lot, so apologies to those that didn't make my six, like King Crimson, Genesis, Hawkwind etc..so here's mine:After KJS:

I would say Top 20 charts somewhere in the world and I hope that's not too restrictive.

A nice clear result this week and "Look who it is", to copy the mighty Helen Shapiro, - we all remember this one, don't we?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw0N9...
So I take out the top gong with The Manfred's Mighty Quinn (20 votes). Didn't expect this at all as even though they were always a likeable band, I thought voters might not go for their take on Dylan and that maybe Pretty Flamingo might have been a safer bet. But I like Quinn and it seems you do to. Foe's Pink Floyd track (16 votes) was also a winner and third place went to Jemma and Foreigner (12 votes) - I think I almost preferred Kelly Hansen to Lou Gramm on this. Anyway, well done all and a wooden spoon wings its way to KJS for Deep Purple who missed out in a strong field of classic/prog rock tracks.

Hopefully Brass may add some clarification.
The next FIVE themes are:
Theme 355 - Your favourite track (or two tracks) from a best-selling studio album (if 2, can be from 2 different albums) - Val
Theme 356 - Mr. Men - song titles containing one of the Mr. Men eg. The word(s) Happy, Snow, Small, Lazy, Funny, Quiet etc. Doesn't need to contain the word Mr, obvs (or Men). - Helen
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Men
Theme 357 - Songs with Metaphors - Jemma
Theme 358 - 1-2-3-4 - Studio tracks that start with a count in - KJS
Theme 359 - You're So Vain - Songs that name check the artist singing. TheFoe
And if you have any more ideas for further themes, post them here:
