I wish your hearts the best of luck. This was a top 10 book for me, easily.
Starts off adventurous, then a love story and then .....
Good luck and I hope you both put this in the top 10

Now I'm intrigued, that says a lot coming from Book Enabler extraordinaire!
I'm really loving this book right now. I can see why others wouldn't care so much about it, but the writing is beautiful. I like what he chooses to say and what he chooses not to say, I am sensing some foreshadowing for what's about to come. "A good looking horse is like a good looking woman...They're always more trouble than what they're worth." Ut-oh!
If this is Cormac McCarthy at his most lighthearted, I'd hate to read something he finds truly dark and bleak. I'm still loving the book, even though I fear it will break my heart when I finish it.
There's not much happening, but yet everything is happening.
Alissa wrote: "I am loving Jimmy Blevins so much. The descriptive writing is just stunning"You do know it is all up to you as to whether Ioana is going to try this one. I shifted responsibility to you. I'm shifty like that. And there is an F in there. Although the other probably applies as well. :-)
I always wonder why McCarthy goes on and on about some of the detail and then sometimes it comes back full circle.
Where are you in the book?

I'm just surprised you went on vacation without your e-reader! That's such an important step in any packing job. But I hope you had a great time! :-)
