We also learn that Gavin dated Rachel before taking up with her twin brother Zach. Your thoughts?

I wondered about Gavin. There was something off. At first, I thought that we were going to find out that he was hiding his sexuality. Then it seemed like Zach and Rachel were in competition with each other. I thought that he went after Gavin because he was dating Rachel. The family has a strange dynamic, but it always felt like Zach and Gavin loved each other regardless of how the relationship started.

Whoa! My jaw dropped on this one. Putting aside how Zach would slide into his sister’s relationship, Gavin zoomed up on my radar because him switching teams with siblings signaled something way off. Kept my eye on him.

It was clear here that Zach and Rachel didn’t have the typical twin connection. It was terribly dysfunctional.

I agree Jonetta. I thought, hey what... but then it mentioned that he had told Rachel he was sexually fluid. But anytime a guy dumps someone for their sibling, gay or straight it's pretty gross. About half through the book I also thought Gavin was on my radar .

I agree, Lisa. Trading one sibling for another speaks to the character, or lack thereof, of that person. Yes, I know the heart wants what the heart wants but that person becomes off limits as soon as you engage with the sibling.

Did he tell Rachel he was sexually fluid at the time they got together or as he was ditching her for Zach?

Jonetta, at one point Rachel was in a coffee shop or restaurant thinking about Gavin and she remembered that he told her of his fluid sexuality on their second date.

I remember that too, Sharon. That whole switching lovers didn't really make me suspect him. It just seemed like he fell in love with Zach, proving that you can't control who you love. I didn't really see it as a clue in the mystery. Boy, was I wrong.
