That Does Not Apply To Me.-The Scriptures apply to us all the time, it's meant to teach us what to do or not to do. If we don't apply it, the Bible becomes nothing more to us than a normal book.-All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.-2 Timothy 3:16

I love this, Diane! We are to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. The Word of God is living and breathing. It is very sad to see when many in society feel that God's commandments do not apply to them. We are under grace, that is true, but those who love the Lord find His commands a joy and a delight, and they are written upon our hearts. I love the passage in 1 John 5:3 that says "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and his commandments are not grievous."

I have a section on modern culture topics in my new book release, "Brutal, Beautiful Neglected Christian Theology " where I discuss how the Commandments are still very much relevant in our modern world today, and how we as Christians need to have His Word and His commands written upon our hearts.
