Ok, that's what I was hoping because the other way seems really hard.

Option 2, Courtney...it could be very likely that there are no books that have been rated 5 stars by 2 different teammates, so Kat wouldn't do that to us!

I'm going to take a chance (with my reading speed) and give Becoming a Vincent a shot for my 2nd book. I should have enough time to get through it, but since it's not in audio it could be a challenge. If I get to tomorrow afternoon and it doesn't look like I'll be able to finish, I'll switch over and do a relisten of Ice Planet Barbarians.

Review:
I liked this one, and I thought it fit nicely with the Ruby Dixon MC series that it runs along with. I think the only bad part of this story is just that it's too short. The characters were interesting enough that there could have been more.

Review:
I liked the overall story, but what dragged this down for me was how the author kept shoving in the characters from the other books. Much of the time it wasn't even necessary to have them there. If it's been a while since you read other books in the series, or you haven't read every other book in the series, all it does is add a layer of confusion for no real reason. It kept taking me out of the story to piece together who was who and who knew who and from where and why it was being mentioned.

I just finished my first one. What a freaking snooze fest. Nothing happens until the last chapter! My goodness. I'll post once I can get to my computer. I have a second one ready, but if you guys get done with a third before I finish that's fine too. My second is only 160 pages, so I'll probably have it done tonight or tomorrow morning.

Review:
I made it through, but not gonna lie, I had to push myself to do it. There's just nothing happening in this book.
It starts with Lizzie trying to find a way to tell her sometimes FWB, Garrett, that she got pregnant when they hooked up a few months ago. There is a lot of backstory that we get hints of during the book, so much so that I thought I must be missing something. Apparently there is a prequel before this, and I'm assuming this series is a spin-off of another series. This might have worked better if I had read those because the beginning of this felt like a bit of a mess. There's something that happened that made them not talk for a year before their big hook-up, but we never learn what that was. And then when they got together, Garrett asked Lizzie to be in a real relationship with him, but she freaked and left and didn't contact him for another three months. And that's where this story starts.
There was potential for drama in here, like the OW stuff with Nadia or conflict with one of the other hockey girlfriends whose kind of a B, but nothing actually happens with anything. The entire plot is this:
Garrett: I wish that you would move to Vegas and we could have a real relationship.
Lizzie: I'm moving to Vegas so that we can be together.
Garrett: But I really wish you would move here, even though I know it's hard to leave Chicago and your family.
Lizzie: I've come to stay with you. I'm going to work remotely and sell my place so that I can stay in Vegas with you permanently.
Garrett: It would be so perfect if you could move here. I want us to be together so much.
Lizzie: I'm going to quit my job and my parents will sell my place for me so that way I don't even have to leave you for a week.
Garrett: So all this time you were really planning to live here?
That's the entire book until the last chapter where Lizzie has a scare. And that's about it.
It's not that the writing is bad, but the plot is seriously:

This was just so much fun! I loved the characters, loved the story, loved all the scheming! There's nothing better than a well-done fantasy romance, and this was really well-done. I can't believe how much was packed into such a short book!

Have you read anything in her Dead Lands series? At the end she said this takes place in the same world, but isn't part of the series. I actually hadn't read any Kati Wilde until starting her part in the motorcycle series a little while ago.

I just looked and I have only read this and a biker one by her. Then there was one I apparently DNF but I can't remember that one at all.

IKR...but then my week or however long it takes me to finish that series is non existent. Nothing gets done. Dishes and laundry pile up, texts and phone calls go unanswered lol it's awful.

Ugh, would a pick up truck count as a car? Having a hard time finding something for this one. I actually found two books about mechanics that sounded cute...but no car on the cover, only tires 🤣
