Just a suggestion. Usually the blurb for a book is a teaser, giving just enough to entice a reader to buy the book. A full synopsis like you have gives me almost the whole book without having to read it. And it's wordy. It makes me wonder if the writing is that wordy. Check the blurbs for other books in your genre. Blurbs are one of the most difficult things to write. Too much, too little ... But I would trim it significantly.
I agree with B.R. -your blurb gives far too much away :/I've added it to my TBR list, but I'm working through a bit of a backlog atm, so may be a few weeks til I get to it x

The answer is usually only a sentence or two, albeit they're rather long, run-on sentences (I do the same now for my books).
An example of a good logline (or book teaser) can be found on any IMDb site. Here's the one used for JAWS:
When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper and grizzled ship captain Quint offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.
Much success with your book!
I agree with the above comments. The amount of information in your blurb is overwhelming, and as a reader, I would be very wary of reading it. It needs to be enough to pique the readers interest, but not so much that it gives the entire plot line away.
Wishing you the best!
Thank you all. I will keep that in mind. I will reduce my book teaser for future posts. It is funny, I was told to put what I have on my site, so I did. All your advice is appreciated.
