SOLVED. YA Realistic fiction about a girl named April (or the month April in the title). There were a few books in the series. Dealt with young adult female issues and puberty. Read 1990s. [s]

The books felt a bit along the lines of ‘Are you there god…it’s my Margaret (Judy Bloom). Took place somewhere in suburban America with a girl (who I think was named April) navigating being a girl in middle school (kissing a boy, getting her period etc). The books were light and had a somewhat salacious quality to them. They didn’t deal with darker teen issues. I remember there being 3 or 4 books in the series.
