I'm planning to join this read! I read this book some twenty years ago (oh boy), and saw the movie trilogy, but somehow never got around to reading the whole series, which I'd like to do now.
Same! It has been many many years. I am trying to decide if I want to read it on my own, or out loud to my kiddo.
I read the series to my age 10 (?) child and we enjoyed it. He still has (and plans to reread) the set, though he's graduated from university now.
Btw, I just learned that during his 20s, Lewis was an atheist. J.R.R. Tolkien converted him (back) to Christianity.edit: there's a specific reason that this is a relevant comment... but I suppose I ought not say more until the spoiler thread....
Everyone has read this but me! I've never watched the movies either. I am starting the series this month with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe so I can see what all the buzz is about.

Yes, I knew that as this fact was mentioned in class. God is amazing! Looking forward to this discussion.
Excited to finally join in on one of the monthly reads!! I read the Magician’s Nephew ages ago when I was in elementary school, and I was the right age when the movies came out to obsess over them but I never got around to reading the series. Better late than never though!
I read this when I was a kid and have been meaning to reread this for ages. I even snagged my set of books from my mom's a few years back
Spent some time in book shop looking for this book. Finally asked a member of staff if they had it and was inform it was with the children’s fiction. I must have looked a right fool.
I saw the movie years ago as a kid but never got around to reading the books. I thought now would be a great time to change that and it would be a nice winter read. I've been slowly making my way through the 4 hour audiobook. I enjoy how whimsical the story is!

Cheryl I certainly don’t feel like a child reading it . Really enjoying it. Must be an extra childish copy I got as comes complete with illustrations.
I’m reading it via audiobook, which is fun! So far, it’s whimsical and reminds me of my childhood. We had read it (or had it read to us) when we were little, so it’s going to be fun to look at it again.
This is one of my all time favorite books. First read it a 9, I reread the series every so often. I have read this book countless times. I am excited to reread and discuss with all of you 😁
I finished it this morning. And really enjoyed the experience. It is a book I wouldn’t have picked up in a million years so a great big thanks to the group for putting it on the reading list for this month. Onto The Queen’s Gambit now. Thanks again.
I read this as a kid about 35 years ago, and I'm looking forward to re-reading it now. I'm also looking forward to discussing it with all of you. :-)
I read this entire series a few years ago. The Horse and His Boy was my favorite of the stories that had not been made into movies. Sadly, I don't remember much from the last couple of books. It may be time for a reread, but I doubt I'll find time this month.I hope readers enjoy this one. It's a great story.
Excited to see this as a group read selection, I read it and Prince Caspian a looooong time ago and hope to notice a lot more things this time. May get around to the whole series in the next year or two....
I first read this as a class in the 3rd grade, which was about 26 years ago! I just started reading it aloud to my baby girl.
