Fed up with her talking, he spun on his heel quickly. Ramming his elbow in her face, he grabbed her dagger. He pivoted, and got behind her, putting it to her neck.
"I advise you to leave me alone, or shut your snapper if your going to follow me." He tightened his grip on the dagger, pushing it a little harder until a small drop of blood appeared on her neck. He stood so she couldn't kick backwards into him, or bang her head back into his nose. He knew better.

She moved it back to his throat and pinned him against the wall. And used her magic blue fire hand to point a second dagger at him.
Alex was fed up with everything. She stood up and pulled out her book. "That's it! I'm sick of it! All the stupid fighting and sniping at each other! I've had it!"

She was annoyed at him for underestimating her, and she wanted him to feel that she could kill him if she wanted...
Alex made an angry noise and flipped furiously through her book.

(Also I kind of do want her to have power over him at some point...because she keeps getting defeated by him, and she should have some higher ground)

(Yeah, but she also has skill too (she was trained by thieves, it's a long story) and magic. I think it should be harder to disarm someone who is partly carrying a sword with a magical hand, which would be stronger than a normal hand).

In some cases magic is the only weapon characters have. Not the case for Annabelle, but the case for Ophelia. But magic can sometimes enhance not overpower. But all I am asking, is can you please not have your character win every fight with mine? I feel like it would make it seem more equal in terms of fighting, because at the moment, I feel like it's a bit unequal.)

Alex had wandered away from the rest of the group. They hadn't noticed, they were too grumpy. She sighed and kicked a wall. Alex had just walked into yet another corridor when someone just fell from the ceiling. She shrieked and pulled out her wand.
