Alex had successfully scooted all the way across the room without being asked more questions, when she heard her name pop up.

(Thank you :) ) Two voices came from the shadows,
"I'm telling you, I know exactly where I am going..." came a voice that appeared to be a man's voice.
"No you don't, and you don't even know this place" replied a voice that seemed to be a woman's though, it was very deep sounding and could easily be mistaken for a man's.
"Can't you two just not argue--" came a softer sounding voice that was sounded like a woman's voice.
"No!" exclaimed the first two voices.
Three figures emerged out of the shadows, two women and one man.
Alex looked up and raised her wand at the three figures. She gave them a stern look. "Who are you." She kept her wand pointing at them.
The woman wearing a purple chiton stepped forward, and stopped the other two from going forward. "I'm Ophelia, I'm a priestess to the gods of earth and air! And we come in peace!"
"I'm Detective Inspector Time and this Lady Annabelle of Dragon's Province" Annabelle glared at him, frustrated that she didn't get to introduce herself.
"And well, we're looking for my daughter, Marigold." he added, frustrated that he was stuck with two people who hated him.
Jade stood quickly hearing the voices. He pulled out a dagger, scowling.
"What? How do we know it isn't a trick hm?"

Alex didn't move her wand away. "Well...you're daughter isn't here. It's just me and them." She gestured to Jade and Angelina.
D.I. Time glared at the newcomers, now was a good time to use his magic on them he thought, perhaps he could move the weapons around...Maybe? "Why would it be a trick?" asked D.I. Time, glancing at Annabelle and Ophelia.
"It's not a trick!" Annabelle interrupted, "we ended up here, I think by accident, and we aren't intending to hurt you, look." She emptied took her sword out and put it on the ground, unstrapped a weapon from under her leg and threw it to the ground.
Alex wasn't sure. She'd been lied to a lot in the past.
"Can't you at least put that sword or wand down? It's making me uncomfortable?" asked D.I. Time. "I'm a priestess, by oath, I cannot lie." Ophelia said, she was oddly calm about the dagger and wand.
Alex scowled. "Fine." She put her wand back in her pocket, but she kept her left hand just above where the sheath for her knife was.
"Hmph. And I'm the emperor and I kill people." Jade retorted sarcastically.
"What would make you believe that we're trustworthy?" asked Annabelle, disliking that this person was not being reliable with it, at least giving them a clue or something. "Because what you're doing now, makes me think you're the untrustworthy one." She turned her eyes in the direction of the dagger Alex had her hand on."...That's disrespectful both to me and the gods." replied Ophelia, glaring at Jade.
Alex glared. "Because people are liars who love to stab others in the back. I've seen it before, I've experienced it."
"I know that from experience, I work...partly, I should say as a detective." replied Annabelle, "and I've seen people like that before amongst people whom I thought I trusted..."
Jade snorted.
"gods. Right, okay." He rolled his eyes, sheathing his dagger but kept a grip on the handle.

Alex just shoved her hands in her pockets and grumbled something.
"Once again, disrespectful, you act like the gods have no power over mortals, they do in fact have power over them..." replied Ophelia. "...And you will regret your actions if you continue."
"Would you shut up. There is no such things as gods, unless of course you're the emperor. So shut your snapper about these 'gods.' Your daughter isn't here, and now if you could leave, I wouldn't have to gut you." He gave a grin as sharp as a knife, a dark gleam in his eyes.
Annabelle sighed, "Do...we need to do an interrogation or something? Because I hate to sit here all day." D.I. Time nodded.
Alex looked up. "Whoa wait what?"
Ophelia glared at Jade, "How dare you! I will go forth and insult your beliefs then, since you so rudely insulted mine. How do you think magic came to the world if...there were no gods? How do you think the world was created if there were no gods?"
"Did you not hear what I said? Do I need to repeat myself?" sighed Annabelle.

Alex was just plain annoyed with these people. It would be nice to just jump and leave them to Jade and Angelina, but....she couldn't exactly do that without them noticing.

She took out a dagger, one she hadn't lied on the ground and pointed it at Jade, "I will end you!"

Alex sighed. "No he didn't we haven't seen her, Jade is just pointing out how this castle is really dangerous and surviving here is.....difficult."
