April:
Race, Now, Chose, While, Stop, Burn, Red, OneI'll be reading Beautiful One by Kerry Adrienne.
I got this one for free during a special and it's been on my Kindle for a while. It has mixed reviews, but at <200 pages and for free I'd feel guilty not reading it.
CHALLENGE COMPLETED 4/8/22
This was a decent little read. Well researched, but felt more like a book outline than a complete story.
1) Mr. Lemoncello’s Great Library Race by Chris Grabenstein; (Narr.) Jesse Bernstein https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
2) CHALLENGE COMPLETE
3) I’m enjoying listening to this middle grade series. It’s all about books, games, fun, and so many references to books and book puns.
Challenge CompleteTitle: The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot
Author: Marianne Cronin
Keyword: One
A lovely book about friendship and finding meaning and love in the face of life's difficulties. Lenni is a 17-year-old terminal patient living her last days in the hospital. She meets Margot, an 83-year-old patient, at the hospital art class. Together they decide to celebrate their 100 years of life through artwork and their life stories. A touching, funny, and sad novel that reminds us how important our own stories are.
For April, I’m reading: Blood RED Snow White by Marcus Sedgwick, and Me Talk Pretty ONE Day by David Sedaris.
Will be reading The Last One Home, by Victoria Helen Stone. Recent addition to my Kindle library, looks interesting.
April Challenge Completed!Keyword: WHILE
I read While You Were Mine by Ann Howard Creel. Although I did a bit of crying, and actually had to put my Kindle up for a couple of days, it was a 5***** read for me.
This month I selected the word Red: The red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. This is a YA book and is about the twins Sadie and Carter. Their parents died and they were raised by different people. Their parents are famous very famous Egyptologists, and each of them come from families that have powers that are used against the bad Egyptian gods. So the twins have extremely powerful abilities. The book takes you through a wild ride. I didn't mind alk the different Egyptian gods but the book was too long and at the end I was totally confused with all the different gods.

Book: The Last One Home by Victoria Helen Stone
A pretty good suspense read, see my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Challenge complete! I read Chosen Ones by Veronica Roth. I was actually disappointed in this one. It moved like molasses, and the story I really wanted to read about what happened 10 years before this book started. She kept having to do flashbacks to explain things and that just bogged everything down. I finished it, but that’s just because I just can’t not finish a book.
I forgot to add my book for April!CHALLENGE COMPLETE
April: Race, Now, Chose, While, Stop, Burn, Red, One
STOP Pit Stop: Baby! Taryn Quinn 4/23/22
Challenge complete with One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus. I enjoyed it a lot - and I'm not usually one for teenage dramas, but this book somehow just works for me.
