Are all of the people that were competing half fae and half human or were some of them only humans? I can understand that the fae would want to make more fae if their numbers were dwindling. I guess this test guarantees that they are worthy of being fae.

Okay, what happened when the oracle woman tried to initiate her? The oracle said that she destroyed Underhill, the fae land? What does that even mean? I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that she mentioned she was never sorted into Seelie or Unseelie like everyone else? (hide spoiler)]

Is this book set in the modern world but with fae? They are in Alaska so it must be the real world, if a fantasy version of it. The world is still confusing to me.

Okay, so I guess this is set in the modern world. She said that the fae came out to the humans at the end of World War II, which was in 1945, and she said that was 100 years ago so it must be around 2045 now.

I wonder who her father was. He was a fae but was he important or just some random fae? She said that being half fae was rare and that most of the others only had partial fae heritage. Does that make her special or does that mean she has more magic? She said that he didn’t claim her when her mother died but put her in an orphanage.

She saw the fae boy again. He seemed to be a prince? The two important fae, the man and the woman, had to have been a king and queen.

Fae riding on airplanes just seems odd to me.

Yarrow is a douchebag.

Oh shit, she is the bastard daughter of the king! And her living assignment was one closest to the castle even though she picked something different. I wonder if her father had anything to do with it? And does that mean that the fae boy is her stepbrother? Since his mother seems to be the king’s wife and her stepmother?

(view spoiler)[So Faelan is the name of the fae boy that had saved her as a child. And he is her stepbrother? And who the hell is Lou? He must have been important. The fact that Faelan is his grandson must be significant though I don’t know why yet. But Faelan was sorted into the Unseelie court and his mother is the queen consort of the Seelie court. How does that work if the Seelie and Unseelie don’t mix? And I still don’t understand the whole mentoring thing. How long did that take place and what exactly did they do?

It doesn’t really seem like she can trust anyone except Hyacinthe. The way that her own father treats her makes me so mad. I am still confused about the other people that she trained with. Are they full fae or only partially fae? Because she is half fae and everyone treats her like dirt. (hide spoiler)]

Interesting how Rubizol told her that she was a powerful fae. You would think that she definitely would be since she is the daughter of the Seelie King. But she seems to think that she isn’t. Has someone put a damper on her magic or something?

Hyacinthe is awesome! The way that she talked to Faelan was awesome and it cracked me up. Her penis metaphor was great. She definitely won’t stand for being separated from Alli. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder why Faelan keeps saying that he can find Alli anywhere. That is kind of creepy. Do they have some sort of connection that she is unaware of? And what was that weirdness where she could hear him in her head? Was that his magic or something else? And Faelan saw or heard her conversation with the oracle about her destroying Underhill.

So Underhill is missing and she just dispelled the illusion of it?

So if her mom wasn’t her mom then who was her mom? Is her mom actually Underhill, if that makes any sense? And why is it that she can see all these ghosts or spirits? No one else seems to see them.

I wasn’t surprised that the queen had the king killed. She is pretty awful. Though, I thought that she was Faelan’s mother so what’s up with that?

And what is with the lightning? Her name means lightning or something to that effect and there was that lightning in the forest.

I was so happy to see Faelan and Hyacinthe rescue her. I am chomping at the bits now to read the next book. I am pretty sure that I am going to start it right away. =P (hide spoiler)]

I really like Drake. I know that she is hung up on Faelan but he has shot her down so many times. I wouldn't blame her if she wanted to move on and Drake seems like a nice guy to move on with. Though, I assume that he will just create a love triangle and make Faelan jealous. Faelan is holding back for some reason and I am curious why. There is the thing about a Seelie and an Unseelie not being together because one of them would die and it is forbidden, but I don't really understand it that well. I honestly think that Drake should end up with Hyacinthe, but I also thought that she was hung up on some other guy so who knows? (hide spoiler)]
