So Kaye knows about faeries but hasn't really met one? I wonder who tried to kill Roiben. And didn't he promise to answer three questions? He just ran off with the kelpie.

Getting notes from faeries that she thought were imaginary friends as a child. Saying everything is danger. Ominous.

Kenny really wants her. And he has a girlfriend, so what a douchebag. He acts like he is enchanted or something when it comes to Kaye. She should have pushed him away. Though I guess I can understand her need to want physical contact with the upbringing she has had. She seems lonely.

I am surprised that Roiben gave her his true name. Faeries don't do that. He would be heholden to her now if she commanded him. Like how he literally kissed her ass. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[So Kaye is fae. A changeling. A pixie. So who left her in the human world and put such a strong glamour on her? And why did the Queen ask her fae friends to watch over her?

She has wings! I can't believe that she let Corny help her and see her like that. And that he didn't freak out.

Making a deal with a kelpie seems like a bad idea, but Kaye seems to be doing okay.

Corny seems awfully weird right now. He really wants to see all the faerie stuff and he seems really pushy about it.

So Roiben didn't recognize her without her human glamour. I can't believe that she got a kiss out of him. He was kind to her though. He didn't want anyone to hurt her so he made her leave. But now Corny is stuck in there alone. (hide spoiler)]

So the Queen's other knight is the guy from the bar with the yellow eyes that made her mom's boyfriend attack her. And he replaced her glamour, one which the other fae had told her could only be placed on her by someone powerful. And then he told her that it was time to come home. Was he the one that left her in the human world? And is he her family or does he know her fae family? He's not a pixie so I don't know. He gives me bad vibes though. Or maybe he is a good guy? Maybe he planted her in the human world so the solitary fae could use her in the tithe to get their seven years of freedom?

So the Unseelie Queen has compelled Kaye to take part in the tithe.

So did this faerie knight, Nephemail take Corny? Is her seriously interested in Corny or is he being a dick? I think that he is just being cruel. He gave him faerie fruit, at least I think he did, which would make him always want it.

Kaye used Roiben's true name to command him to help her escape. He was pretty shocked that she was fae. He thinks that she deceived him.

It kind of sucks that her fae friends pretty much used her for the tithe so they would be free for seven years. And she was raised as a human and they only see her as a fae but one that doesn't understand.

It's been so long since I originally read this that I do not remember a single thing about this book. So it seems like Kaye is a faerie based on that whole horse thing and the fact she can see them. Roiben is an interesting guy, I'm curious to see where things go with him.

So Kaye's magic makes sense now that we know she's a faerie. The whole plan for her to pretend to be human for this sacrifice just doesn't seem like it's going to work how they think it would.

The whole sacrifice thing went about how I thought it would. I didn't expect Roiben to kill the queen though while saving Kaye. And now the fae are going wild and the kelpie killed Janet. I feel bad for her.

Kaye's theory that the Seelie queen was behind everything makes sense. I have a feeling the queen isn't just going to let all this go. Roiben becoming the Unseelie King ought to be pretty interesting.
