Absolutely, D.G. :)

Just added the 8 books I found when I thought it was leather AND lace.

Funny, but it's abs of steel that worried me. Luckily, I found an Ilona Andrews book that I hadn't read, cause the cover turned me off :) But all the reviews were great so I'm glad I waited.

Sandra | 25914 comments Yay that's another 8 books for suggestions :)

Yep anything leather - boots, bustier, jacket, dress ... I've been adding more today.

Thanks DG!

Sandra | 25914 comments Wow, just had a look, the shelf for Leather or Lace now has 261 entries. Well done SOSers!!!!!!!

message 110: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25914 comments Thank you everyone for adding to our shelves, however, some books were already there.

Please check before adding the book again. You can always add shelves to existing books, that's real easy.

message 111: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 2484 comments I'll have to check that out. I didn't think about belts. I saw a couple when going through my books with noticeable belts. Now I just have to remember which those were.

A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 740 comments Covet (Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward would count for Leather or Lace and Abs of Steel

message 114: by D.G. (last edited Feb 20, 2015 04:31AM) (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I added a bunch of more books to the L&L shelf. I started checking the books I've read and I found a lot there. :)

Something to keep in mind for whomever adds more books to the shelf, is that if you find that the cover for one book in the series has a particular element (leather jacket, high heel boots, gloves, etc.) sometimes that will carry through the other covers in the series. For instance, I realized that pretty much all of the Mercy Thompson covers have her wearing a thick leather belt so I added all of those to the L&L shelf.

Steph (angel4492) | 32767 comments I added a couple yesterday that were already on the shelf. I added an alternative cover, one that had some leather on it.

D.G. | 2752 comments Steph wrote: "I added a couple yesterday that were already on the shelf. I added an alternative cover, one that had some leather on it."

I wasn't sure if that was allowed so I either edited books already on the shelf to add them to the L&L cover or just added the new ones.

Steph (angel4492) | 32767 comments Your way is best, DG. I was frustrated and lazy, so I added a dupe in a couple cases. When my OCDemoness screeched, I made sure to either edit existing books or delete the one without leather on it.

Thanks Cristina! I've had this for too long, and onky had one abs of steel on my list. Now it's 2.

D.G. | 2752 comments Deidre wrote: "Can Ilona Andrews count as a male author?"

Good question!

message 121: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25914 comments I'd have to say no, cause as far as I know they equally write the stories.

There are 87 books listed under male author on the bookshelves if you are struggling to find one :)

I have a few set aside for that shelf, I was just curious

Sandra | 25914 comments No worries, others might need the hint to check out the group bookshelves.

message 124: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32767 comments I have a male author shelf, if anyone is looking for suggestions in case that shelf is called.

message 125: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I read so much fantasy and mystery/thrillers that the male author shelf won't be a problem for me. :)
