Lol I really wanted to get to it in October, but that and The Goldfinch were a bust so here I am moving them to November.

And Catch and Kill is one I'm looking forward to. Nonfiction November 😂 4 books is more nonfiction than my usual

But two sounds good, we can leave it at that it's fine lol.

I'm gonna start the month off with Verity and if everyone's right I'm gonna want to binge it so we should start after. Whenever after is good with me my goal is to maximize my reading time this month if even possible😭

Just sold my kindle because I didn't love the page turn buttons as much as I expected, they annoyed me a little😭😭 should I get a paper white or just use my iPad at this point lol

Ordered a physical copy lol so we can start w catch and kill. Everyone acts like Dorian gray is like top tier classic and the book outlet sale got me 🤦🏾‍♀️ need to go on a ban asap… i buy too many books. Or maybe give some to the used bookstore so i don’t feel bad about overconsumption lol 😭😭😭

OMG!!😭😭😂😂😂 that book and The Count of Monte Cristo are like the only two classics I’ve been interested in (not counting ones from high school I want to reread to see if I still love/hate them) lol and one is tooooo intimidating so I’m hoping I’ll love this one or I’m gonna be mad I paid for it😭😂

Still debating on the kindle because idk if I’ll prefer the paper white more since the only thing I didn’t vibe with was the shape of the oasis and the buttons and the paper white is more iPad/iPhone/smartphone/tablet all that -esque lmao. I think maybe it fit in my hand weird like my hands are too small or I held it weird because everyone talked about how comfy it was and it felt so weird to me and cramped my hand😭

I can trade in one of the three old kindles and get like 20% off a new kindle and $15 so I’m considering. Bc using my iPad again is giving me headachhhes I should’ve just dealt w the weird shaped kindle lmao

honestly I've never used anything that's paper white but I rarely have headache problems but I still feel that once I start using it, I'll probably never go back lol

And yesss I use an iPad Pro and my laptop for school so I’m staring at screens ALLL day and I didn’t realize the difference it made using the kindle and giving my eyes that break for the rest of the day😭 My oasis just got to the guy I sold it too so once the money clears.. I basically made back what I spent since I got it on sale even made a little profit lol😂

so I’m debating on getting the new paperwhite because the screen is bigger and it’s faster now, the original reason I went with the oasis to begin with and… no awkward shape that’ll make my apparently tiny hands hurt… I hope😅 watch me get that one and hate it too. Maybe I need a pop socket or something like you see people use on it

Not toooo often but people like to claim they didn’t get packages sometimes and whatnot to scam and not have to pay when they really did. That’s why I was nervous selling it but… we’ll see 😅

I had such a horrible week and I ended up just dropping one of my classes on Tuesday because I was having a complete mental breakdown so now I just want to relax (sort of because I still have other classes lol) and reading is definitely the way to go

Yeah lol sorry! I’ve been challenging myself to at least 100 pages a day (idk how this is a challenge for me but it is apparently I read slower on my own time I guess?😂😭) and forgot we were starting today and just read my 100 pages and I’m hungry and I have a headache now so😭😭 don’t want to make you wait me out. Luckily time is changing soon here! In a few days I think!

Enjoy your book :( sorry that all happened with your class. If it’s any consolation my week sucked too but because of work. I really need to work up the courage to just quit and not feel bad doing it just bc they’re family friends. It’s so draining. More draining than school, mentally.

It’s like when we read together I just knock them out and now I start and im like “omg this is taking forevvver”

And yeah idk. He’s putting more and more responsibility on my plate, and then being upset that the other work I do isn’t done fast enough for his taste I guess and it’s getting frustrating because it’s like if you want me to be faster stop giving me 200 tasks to do. I have so many tasks to do now I split them by the hour. So one hour I do one thing, then so on, then so on for 5 hours. Yet…. He (passively aggressively) acts like I sit back there doing nothing for 5 hours.

The money is great but I’m about to give up😂😂

Need to start saving so I’ll have enough for my med school applications and probably quit either when this semester is over or at LEAST by like March/April, which is when I’ll finish my application and stuff so by then won’t need the money for it anymore 😂

It’s split into parts so I figured we could just read a part a day it’ll take like 5-6 days, some parts are smaller than other but that’s fine lol gives me more time for outside reading those days and keeps everything even for us

So basically
Day 1: prologue + part 1 - poison valley
Day 2: part 2 - white wale
Day 3: part 3 - army of spies
Day 4: part 4 - sleeper
Day 5: part 5 - severance + epilogue

Yeah I figured it would be better to do it by parts 😂 because some are like 88 pages and some more or less, but I didn’t even want to worry about getting perfectly at 100 lol. So, better this way!

This book is gonna make me hate Hollywood I fear 😕 or at least make me frustrated how people get away with so many things because money + power. It’s a good discussion book! I also think there’s a mini series of this on HBO too. Not like a fictional recreation but him basically discussing the same topics from the book on HBO, if I’m remembering correctly
