I saw bookstore displays about this book when it first came out and wondered how you could write a story about a boy and a tiger on a raft. I feel like I should read it (I have a copy) but keep putting it off. Like Sarah, the hype is putting me off now too. This is the one I should tackle isn't it? : /
A few good reviews would definitely help motivate me.. maybe I should go and find some ; ) and report back when the book's read..
I love this book so much! I agree with Sarah that it leaves you with so many questions and makes your wonder. That is what's so great about it. I love this wondrous story of survival. One of my favorite reads of all time.

I found parts of it a little slow, and some descriptions were a little too graphic for me. I prefered the start of the book where the stories about Pi growing up were beautifully told. His discovery of various religions was really interesting too.
I`m glad I read the book. The ending is unexpected and really makes you want to go back and re-read the novel. It really does make you think and ask lots of questions. Well worth reading, now I want to see the film
