Kim should never have sent Tink in there in the first place without a proper psychological assessment to make sure she wasn't vulnerable. Black was an expert in manipulation and did get to Tink but there were signs that Tink was not totally taken in by him and was trying to extricate herself. I was glad that Kim acknowledged that she hadn't taken the threat seriously and had erred in sending Tink undercover so ill prepared. Although Kim had her issues with Drummond I think she did acknowledge by the end his expertise. And she realised that Tink had issues that she hadn't forseen that Drummond could help with. It was her way of making amends.
This was a short term undercover assignment. Kim didn't sense the extent of the danger until Tink was in place. When her phone was replaced, Kim had a false sense of security. It was a bad move on Tink's part to leave the phone in the bathroom; that surprised me. As soon as Kim realized her mistake and that Tink was in danger, she moved to get her out quickly.
Tiffany/Tink gives off this carefree persona that she created to mask her hurtful family life. They put Tink undercover completely unaware of her background and vulnerability. If she’d gone through training, the trainers would have better assessed her potential weakness and dealt with it.
I believe Tink would have been seriously at risk if she’d stayed undercover longer. Even she knew she was having issues as Jake’s manipulation was almost working. I don’t think she was immune to him but decided to go home because she wasn’t finding anything and had lost the ability to communicate with the team. Kim sensed that, realized there was more going on with Tink than anyone knew and could tell she wasn’t being forthright. Her connecting Tink with Kane verified what she’d intuited. Tink was in real trouble.

I actually don't think Tink would have succumbed. She had already decided to leave before she accompanied Britany to the cabin in the woods. However, I agree that Tink should never have been there in the first place and she definitely should not have used her own family life as part of her cover. If she had been properly trained, she would have known not to do that and she would have had a less risky background provided by the undercover service to offer instead. Giving her personal details put her in danger.
