At about 2/3 of the way, I suspect Daniel killed Ben and was killed in revenge. Also think Angela didn’t fall downstairs, but was pushed. But I’ve not an inkling as to the villain or villains.

About a third of the way through, I agree with you on all points, Bill.
I know whom I would LIKE for the villain to be, though.

I was wrong about Angela but after Theo’s obviously false confession knew that Carla had to be the villain.

Having finished the book, I give it a 3.5 rating. I didn't like the characters, except for Irene. I didn't enjoy the author's construction experiments, very like those attributed to Theo, the writer in the story. While I understood the various characters' motivations, they were not people who inspired sympathy from me. Most had plenty of sympathy for themselves.

Geri | 1 comments This was a quick read, but wow, too many characters to try to keep up with, and most of them I didn't like much. Also, too many unanswered questions for me - did Daniel kill Ben? Did Theo push Angela down the stairs? Did Carla and Daniel have an affair?
