Hi Roee,
I work in a bookstore and this number of page (304) comes from our book database Memento for all books distributed in Québec.
That being said, the last numeroted page of the book that I have and sell is 292 pages. So you can choose to add 292 pages instead of 304, as long as the book has a number of pages.

Thanks, what are the contents of the unnumbered pages?

There is 4 pages unnumbered : one with an image of a Four-leaf clovers, 2 empty pages and the last one says where the book was printed.
So if you want to count those 4 pages, the total of pages of the book would be 296.

The number of page 304 might be an error from the publishing house when they entered their informations in the bookstore database.

worldcat.org says it's 256. What's the content of the pages 257-384?

I just looked on worldcat.org and there is an error on the first book that appears in the search, it's a different book with the book cover and ISBN code of Cyrano. Indeed if you read the title it says "Trois contes : nouvelles" by Flaubert.

If you scroll down to the 2nd book in the search, you will see the right book cover and the correct title : Cyrano de Bergerac by Rostand.
And the number of page is 383.
(i have the book in my hand and it has 384 pages but you can change it to 383, it doesn't matter for 1 page only.)
