NA novel i think about a girl who doesn’t speak and a boy with lots of trauma

basically i seen this book and i thought i’d added it to my reading list but i never and now i can’t remember what it’s called. but in this is what i can remember from the description. so i think it’s set in college and the boy has a lot of trauma i think his mothers either dead or dying and i’m not sure about his dad. and then with the girl her parents died or got killed somehow and she’s had so much trauma from that and she refuses to speak. and then at this party the boy is tired of holding everything in so i think he vents to the girl knowing she won’t say anything because she doesn’t speak but then she ends up saying something to him. that’s all i can remember please someone tell me they know what book i’m on about
