We are just starting ! :) I think it's going to take us some time to get to Son of Neptune but I'm really looking forward to it, it's the last one I've read and I can't wait to get on with the last books !
Of course you can join, if you can wait a few weeks before continuing ! And you can participate in the conversations, there is no problem at all ! :))

Hey guys school has kept me really busy so I'm a few days behind, but I'll try to catchup.

Hello everyone! How far are you ? :) I stopped for today at chapter 20 !
Personally I think I will have finished the last chapters tomorrow (Monday). I had forgotten how much I love these books and Rick Riordan's humour (I recently read the last Magnus Chase and found the humour more forced).
I had also forgotten the huge differences with the film... It's like night and day, there are literally made up scenes !

I completed lightning thief.... The movie is shit except logan lerman is hot af and alexandra daddario is a goddess...

No, but really ! They really made the actors look bad. I can't wait to see the TV show adaptation, Rick Riordan will be working closely with the writers.
I'm really shocked at the freedom taken in the movie script.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the next book ! :)

I got to know about the tv adaptation yesterday and i am literally dying... Hope its not like shadowhunters and vampire diaries.... I really dont want then to ruin percy jackson for ppl who dont read

I personally loved Vampire Diaries but I hadn't read all the books so I took the series as its own entity rather than as an adaptation.
As for Percy Jackson, honestly I have high hopes and I think Rick Riordan (given his great dislike of the movies adaptations) won't let the writers ruin that for the fans. He is very involved and is trying to reassure us ! I think he'll be there for the castings :)
Also, he will fight for lgbt+ and POC characters to be properly represented !
