Happy Sunday, everyone! It's time to do nominations for April. There's no theme this month (we'll do more theme-y reads later), but do please keep these things in mind:

-it is preferred that you nominate a book we've not read before as a group
-it is also preferred that you not nominate an author we've already read this year
-Remember that a book must be out for 6 months or more to be eligible for nominations and voting

You can find the current year's reads on the group bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books..., and you can also check out past years shelves to see if we've read the book in previous years or not. If it was read in recently years, I'll most likely request that you nominate another book.

Nominations will be open through Feb. 14, then voting will be open until the end of the month. Remember, "seconding" is no longer necessary since we have implemented voting.

Nominations as of Feb. 13:
1. Surrender the Heart by MaryLu Tyndall
2. With Every Letter by Sarah Sundin
3. Prairie Rose by Catherine Palmer
4. All God's Children by Anna Schmidt
5. With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden
6. The Hesitant Heiress by Dawn Crandall
7. Prelude for a Lord by Camille Elliot
8. A Lady of High Regard by Tracie Peterson
9. A Stillness of Chimes by Meg Moseley
10. The Color of Justice by Ace Collins
11. Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason
12. So Fair a Lady by Amber Lynn Perry

Hannah, we actually read this one last year - is there another one you would like to nominate?

Nicki wrote: "Love's Fortune (The Ballantyne Legacy, #3) by Laura Frantz"

Nicki, we're reading the first book in this trilogy in March...normally we wouldn't repeat an author, but in this case, if you'd like to nominate the second book, perhaps that would be better than jumping to the third book.

No pressure though, if you want to nominate another author entirely, that's fine too!

Okay, that sounds great! I saw the first book in the to-reads and thought maybe the other was in there as well...will have to look more closely next time!

The Hesitant Heiress (The Everstone Chronicles, #1) by Dawn Crandall

Seconding isn't necessary, but no pressure to choose something else, Nicola :) Just vote for it when the poll opens later (not trying to plug my own nomination, no...haha!)

On mine as well - since 2012... :-)

Rebecca (pagescollective) It's been on mine since I think Nov 2013. Definitely time I should read it! (If it does not win, maybe we can do a buddy read)

Hi, Marji! The only issue here is that Sabotaged hasn't been out for 6 months or longer, which is currently one of our guidelines for nominations - perhaps there's another novel you'd like to nominate?

Cammie, this one is an upcoming release, so it doesn't meet the 6 months or longer guideline. Perhaps there's another you'd like to nominate?

Hi, everyone! I think I'll start the voting on the 15th, since this is a short month, which means less voting time!

Hi, everyone! CFD must have been feeling historical fiction because you all picked these for April's Books of the Month:

With Every Letter (Wings of the Nightingale, #1) by Sarah Sundin With Every Letter by Sarah Sundin

and

With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden

Also interesting that they have very similar titles! ;)
