Introducing myself and my newly released YA fiction, Shadow’s Angel.

Hi, my name is Leesa Ellen. I’m new to Goodreads and new to the author world. My first title, Shadow’s Angel, is an Australian adventure story about destiny, atonement, and an unbreakable bond.

Killed in an at-fault car crash, 18-year-old Lucinda returns as an angel to lead her grieving dog, Shadow, away from an inevitable life of loneliness and toward the only person she trusts to take care of him - her best friend Astrid.
Unfortunately, finding Astrid is no simple task, but rather a three thousand kilometre journey across Australia filled with gloomy city streets, dusty outback roads, wannabe-film-star divas, drunken farmers with guns, rev-head sheep wranglers, a psychic-medium little girl and a handsome truck driver with a secret burden of guilt.
It's going to be one hell of an adventure

I started Shadow’s Angel over ten years ago after my grandmother’s passing left me questioning, what would happen to my animals if something were to happen to me?
The story grew from an idea, and over the years has transformed (with the help of some amazing editors and manuscript Assessors including my favourite, Miles Franklin award winner, Tom Flood) into a novel that I know I can be proud of.

Apart from writing, I am also a photographer and truck driver. I have two dogs of my own, one of which features on the front cover of Shadows Angel, and two rescue cats.
I would love to make some connections here on Goodreads, and of course would love to wish everyone who, like me is a first time self published author, massive luck with your book.
