That's great. We are moving along nicely.
Hi Team - just a heads up, I'll no longer be able to read The Girl with the Louding Voice during the challenge, which is slotted for "A book with 25,000+ ratings" in case someone is able to replace it.

I hope it is not due to anything unpleasant going on with your life.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can do.
You are still contributing a lot to the team's goal and we appreciate that.

"a book with 25,000+ ratings"
OR "a book about making new friends"
OR tell us of a book that you would like to read and we will see if we can make a swap.

Wow! Well done! :) Fast reader :p
Maybe you can also read a book with 25000+ ratings so we fill that prompt whenever? :p
Hi everyone, I will be adding my pages I’ve read from bunny the past several days to the tracking. I’ve decided to read Monstress, Vol. 1: Awakening for the author with more than 25 works prompt instead of The Fifth Season because I just got it from the store and I need to read it now lol. I should probably finish it today or tomorrow.
Also I’m over halfway through the fifth season so I can probably get through it too for 25,000+ ratings if no one else gets around to it.
I also might be able to fit in another book and could pick one for 25,000 just in case. Also, if I finish my "last" assigned book/prompt, should I still continue reading something to count the pages? Or should I pick something that fits a prompt? I'm not sure which, if any, need yet be filled.
Hi Team Leader, first status update is due on April 1st, please share the same in the Readathon Team Progress thread. Please ignore if you’ve already shared. Thank you!
Hello Textual Healers! Hope everyone enjoyed their first week of this team readathon!Almeta & Ziggy
I completed the last of my assigned prompts last night.
Unless there is a specific prompt that you'd like me to fill, I will continue reading the other books (unassigned) I'd planned to read during this readathon.
Go team!
Michelle wrote: "....I have been wanting to start reading The Guest List after I finish my books for the readathon, and that one is very popular and would certainly qualify for the 25000+ ratings prompt :)..."If you are willing, I am Assigning The Guest List to you for that prompt.
By-the-way, I gave it 5 stars.
Ziggy wrote: "Ok will add Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore for book with 25000 ratings, will add to spreadsheets when I’m on a better devise to fix an excel spreadsheet..."
Wait, didn't Micelle agree to read The Guest List for that spot?
Nikki wrote: "....Also, if I finish my "last" assigned book/prompt,..."If so, I will mark them on the spreadsheet for you.
Brittany wrote: "Also I’m over halfway through the fifth season so I can probably get through it too for 25,000+ ratings if no one else gets around to it."If you do finish it, we can always count it for one of the WILD CARDS.

That's wonderful oshizu!
Yes, I am continuing to read books that fit certain prompts, but are not assigned. Maybe they will be needed at the last minute to cover an emergency. OR they may count as a WILD CARD.
So carry on with your plan!☺
@Texual HealersI need to report our mid-challenge progress soon.
Has everyone updated their portions of the spreadsheet?
I'll wait another hour. (5:30 Eastern Daylight Savings Time)
Ziggy wrote: "....It was based on post 242; but if I misunderstood, I apologize.I will just work on pages once I finish my next two books..."
Well, I could have misunderstood also, based on another message. I hope to hear from Michelle about that prompt one way or the other.
Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore fits other prompts as well.
Brittany wrote: "Hi everyone, I will be adding my pages I’ve read from bunny the past several days to the tracking. Hehe, sorry if I have been confusing. I am defenitely going to read the guest list and I hope to finish it in time for the readathon (since I am finishing this book I have now in not too long and I have easter holidays from saturday on, so more time to read). I just hope that I don't suddenly get TOO busy with school and cannot finish it. So I asked if someone that has no prompts left (since we have that luxury), possibly Ziggy, if they could read a book that fits the prompt IN CASE I can't finish the guestlist in time :). (I of course will do my best to finish it in time, and I've heard from more than one person that it is a GREAT book, so I hope I'll fly through it :) )

It's all good.

I've noticed that you have finished two of your books already and shown them on the TRACKING spreadsheet. Don't forget to also highlight them on the PLANNING page.
To answer your question, I suggest that you pick any book that you would like to read that fits one of the reading tasks. In the end it may be needed to cover an emergency or it may count as a WILD CARD read.
By-the-way...GOOD JOB!
@AWESOME TEXUAL HEALERSHow's everybody doing?
i think we are are moving along nicely.
If you are feeling over committed at this stage, let us know. We have other team members who can relieve the pressure, so you can enjoy the book your reading right now.
I just finished my book 'de selectie' in the sun in the park on a Friday afternoon. Great way to start my holidays :). I already read three books during this readathon. I never imagined doing that, let alone having the time to read one more! I'll be starting the Guest list tonight. I will update the spreadsheet for the selection later. it doesn't work on my phone. :)how are you Almeta?
I just finished an unassigned book, The Clockwork Prince. It qualifies to fill the following prompts:
*has a silver cover
*25,000+ Goodreads ratings
*includes a party
Or is it enough to mark the eligible prompts on the Planning page?
oshizu wrote: "I just finished an unassigned book, The Clockwork Prince. It qualifies to fill the following prompts:

I noticed that it was also marked as "making friends". Is that correct or was it to be marked on Clay's Ark "next door?
Or is it enough to mark the eligible prompts on the Planning page?
Marking the PLANNING page is enough.
Thanks for letting me know.

Almeta wrote: I noticed that it was also marked as "making friends". Is that correct or was it to be marked on Clay's Ark "next door?"."My mistake. I meant to mark Clockwork Prince for the "party, celebration" prompt. I'll go change that now.
Almeta wrote: "Michelle wrote: "....how are you Almeta?*I just got my second COVID19 shot this morning and my arm is sore.

It is not nice that your arm is sore, but good that you're vaccinated! I hope it won't be more sore today! :)
I also wanted to say that 'de selectie' also featured a birthday party, so it can be switched from 'making friends' to 'a party' if needed.
Ziggy wrote: "Almeta wrote: "Michelle wrote: "....how are you Almeta?*I just got my second COVID19 shot this morning and my arm is sore.

That is positive to hear. I just got my first shot and had no systems but have heard the second shot is worse..."
So far Day 2, still okay other than sore arm.
Ziggy wrote: "....I’m on my last book for challenge, so hopefully will finish it today, Before moving on to extra books/pages in case needed...."Glad to hear that your "Assigned" books will be covered. I'm hoping that everyone else will complete theirs as well, with no emergency.
Welcome to "the club", both oshizu and I are reading for WILD CARDS or emergency situations, as well.
Something on the hardware of my laptop broke, so I brought it into the repair store today and I won't have it for a few days. It is a bit weird, because I use it so much, also for school and meeting friends online now. But well, I can use my small tablet/laptop, though it is very slow :p. I hope I'll still be able to update the spreadsheets here, but I'll shoot a message if that is not the case.I have started the guest list yesterday evening, but haven't gotten far, since I was quite tired. I'm going to use the rest of the night to continue it I think :D
Michelle wrote: "Something on the hardware of my laptop broke, so I brought it into the repair store today and I won't have it for a few days. This is not as easy as it was in the past, due to the now limited access because of the coronavirus.
Hope you get your laptop back soon.

It is frustrating and I actually felt a bit emotional when the guy said I had to leave it there until at least tuesday and they'll call me to tell what is wrong exactly, how to fix it, how much that will cost and how long that will take. So I'm hoping for good news on tuesday ;). I can go to the university libraries to use PC's, but I'm only allowed to use them for schoolstuff and not personal stuff. Also, they're closed until tuesday since it's the easter weekend. So it sucks. But so far I've gotten all my household chores done and gotten by on my mini-tablet-laptop :p
Michelle wrote: "....But so far I've gotten all my household chores done and gotten by on my mini-tablet-laptop :p..."Lol! That IS one advantage. Actually doing chores rather than being distracted by non-essential material from the internet.
I finished my audiobook this morning and I’m on schedule to finish my fourth book today.
Almeta, should I mark the planning sheet to indicate other categories the books will work for as I complete them? For example, the book I’ll finish today will work for a couple of other categories that I didn’t realize before reading it. Also, my last book is just a bit over 100 pages, so I could probably squeeze in another shortish book by Thursday. Should I read for a specific prompt or think of it as a wildcard possibility?

I will notice them and change them to a "note" behind the position marked.
If you do have the time read any book you would like that would fit any one of the prompts. We may use it in case of an emergency or as a WILD CARD.
Enjoy your next read!☺
I've finished The Final Revival of Opal & Nev, and it's currently slotted for a book with a party or anniversary celebration, but to be honest, the book doesn't really fit that category. It does fit a book that has 25+ characters in the title, which aren't completed yet, but I don't want to bump those books if they won't fit elsewhere. What do you think?I've started An Ember in the Ashes today, the first book in a 4-book series, and will finish before then end of the read-a-thon.
Kristina wrote: "I've finished The Final Revival of Opal & Nev, and it's currently slotted for a book with a party or anniversary celebration, but to be honest, the book doesn't really fit that category..."I have found another book to take the place of The Final Revival of Opal & Nev.
Thanks for letting me know of the change.
Be sure to record the number of pages or hours that you read for it. We may use it as a WILD CARD.
