Starting the month with The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware - have had mixed results from this author.
TimInCalifornia wrote: "Starting the lesbian classic Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown for this month's LGBTQ bookclub."LOVED that.
Finished Cat Country which was more of a slog than I had hoped. Starting in on Black Buck by Mateo Askaripour which I expect to be some fast, fun reading.
Starting 100 Boyfriends by Brontez Purnell. Based on the previous book I read from this author, I expect this to be a good one.
100 Boyfriends was gritty in a good way.Moving on to a detective story in She's Fallen by Alex Clare.
I've finally finished Paradise Sky by Joe R. Lansdale. I liked the book but I got stuck with it for almost 2 months. I've read at the same time the wonderful When My Brother Was an Aztec by Natalie Diaz.I have just started Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides.
I recently heard that in May the tv series "Pose" will begin its third and final season. That reminded me of the similarly themed The House of Impossible Beauties by Joseph Cassara. Looking forward to both.
Sadly found myself bored by the hugely popular Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Was hoping to like it more. Maybe I'm growing dour in my old age.I am enjoying David Sedaris' Calypso on audio whilst walking the dogs.
Just started The Hate U Give today, it’s been on my list for awhile so I’m glad I finally picked it up from the library :)
Laura, I read that 20+ years ago and loved it so much that I'm afraid to read it again in case I don't.
Hi Natasha! So far it is a bit confusing I don’t really understand what’s going on but fingers crossed it becomes a favourite by the end!
I have reviewed Close to the Knives. I have just started Everything That Rises Must Converge: Stories by Flannery O'Connor.I also enjoyed Catch-22.
