You forgot to add me to your team. :) Angela.

My points: 7 for finishing Princeps' Fury; book 5 of Jim Butcher's swords-and-sorcery-style fantasy series The Codex Alera. Princeps' Fury has 386 pages...or at least the hardcover copy I was using did. *BG*

Amber Martingale | 673 comments Bella ~The chick from London,Ed Sheeran is bae #Spobyislife~ wrote: "I have no idea what to read..any ideas?(fantasy genre preferably)"

Suggestions:

The Codex Alera (swords-and-sorcery style fantasy)
The Dresden Files (urban fantasy)

The Hobbit
LOTR
The Silmariion
The Children of Húrin and The Book of Lost Tales, Part 1. All of these are part of the Middle Earth Universe. You could also read Professor Tolkien's translation of Beowulf. Or Seamus Haney's... .

Chronicles of Narnia

The Pyrdain Chronicles... .

message 25: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale | 673 comments Total Points:12

7 for finishing PRINCEPS' FURY and 5 for currently being on page 220 of FIRST LORD'S FURY... .

Amber Martingale | 673 comments Total points: 14

7 points each for PRINCEPS' FURY and FIRST LORD'S FURY. Do I get the 3 bonus points for finishing an entire genre series, Rosie?

I probably won't be getting the OTHER 2 bonus points because I started THE CODEX ALERA back in late December.

Rosie (rosie32) Sorry, I have had only limited internet access the past week

message 34: by Rosie (new)

Rosie (rosie32) Amy D wrote: "Am I doing this correctly?"

Sorry for the late reply. Your points would be 9 for the first book and then 7, I can see what you did, it is because the rules aren't clear (my fault). The series points are only for the series chosen that month, so for this month The Infernal Devices. For genre books you only gain points for the amount of pages. I hope that makes sense, just ask if you are confused ^-^

Sorry Bella but you only have 7 points as the series points are only for The Infernal Devices. Series' that are in the genre catergory only get points for the number of pages. It was my fault as the rules werent clear but I have edited them now. ^-^
