Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult – 4 Stars

I certainly seem to be reading lots of books by Jodi Picoult recently – this is my third in about 6 months. Following a tragedy in a local town, the town’s residents are trying to heal whilst getting justice for their loved-ones and finding out the truth at the same time. Alex Cornier, the judge in the case, has to recuse herself when her teenage daughter is added to the witness list, despite not being able to remember anything. But the question is, can Josie remember more than she is letting on about what happened at the school that day? The book moves back and forth in time and is told from different point of views, which does make it hard to follow at times, but it is a page-turner that kept me reading, and I didn’t guess the twist at the end until just before it was revealed. I’ll definitely read more from this author in future.
