The emotionless robotic voice of Khara was annoying me, so I switched over to reading the text. Much better!!

Ch 6 - (view spoiler)[ Obviously, Oz is going to be the bad boy turned love interest at some point, right? What I don't get is how there are all these Greek gods, but then there is GOD and his angels too?? Is this some world where any deity thought up exists? And the dark ones too - if they are angels of hell, wouldn't Hades be in control of them? I guess more will become clear as I read on. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 15 - (view spoiler)[ Ugh, this book could be so much better! Khara's character is starting to bug me. I get that she is supposed to be cold and somewhat emotionless, but she even reads like a monotone robot sometimes. I can tell that she is supposed to be developing feelings, but it could be written better. Plus, I am annoyed that the whole world is out to get her and she hasn't figured out what her powers are yet. It seems like it is a little overdone. I get it, she's vulnerable. Can we do something to change that?

Ch 20 - (view spoiler)[ So, Oz has some power over her with his voice: he whispers some secret words into her ear and she turns into the warrior that she should have been all along. But then her brothers show up and she is stuffed back into the "totally helpless" character box. I don't get it. And if anyone evil can just start calling out to her, shouldn't they be working on solving that problem if they want to keep her safe? (hide spoiler)]

Finished - So many mixed thoughts on this one. The plot in itself is not horrible, but the execution could be better. I also had to stop listening to the audio altogether - it just made it worse. (view spoiler)[ I do want to know what happens with Oz and Khara now that he is completely evil, but unless Khara starts reading with some emotions, I may not finish the next book. (hide spoiler)]

Yep that was clear from the start, he was the only one not related to her lol.

Khara has no emotions, she doesn't even get the jokes, "I'm got the looks" hello they are twins...

Yes it could've been so much better, I still like it... I don't know if I would delve into the next one though...
