Oh darn, I just finished These Violent Delights. I thought the beginning was a little confusing cause there was a lot of info thrown at ya (which in the long run was incredible) BUT DONT LET THAT STOP YOU FORM CONTINUING OMG IT WAS SO FREAKING INCREDIBLE HAAAAAAAAA

If somebody wants to help me force myself to read The Cruel Prince, I'm up to it. Honestly, Cardan just seems like a person I would hate from the quotes I've read and heard and it's really been putting me off. But maybe a buddy read would encourage me.

Sure! I guess we can request a thread or something and set a date to start reading it. As I said, whenever you guys can get it is fine for me. My library has it literally all the time. I've never seen it checked out.

I love that series! Hope you enjoy it. Cardan isn’t a great character in book 1, but we see a lot of development in him further on in the books. The book has ver morally grey characters though, there are not really that many ‘good’ characters.

I feel like I'll like the second and third better than the first from what I've heard. Just gotta push the Cardan's bad actions.

Ooh yes for wilder girls and girl, serpent, thorn, but I think it may take a while to get a copy- my local bookstore is closed and online shopping may take a while to come since there’s a lot of snow and ice on the streets. So maybe, but when will the buddy read start?

umm..I'm not sure. I guess I'll make threads for both of the books and then whenever you get it you can join. I haven't started either of them yet, so it's ok if it takes time :)
