My favorite audio book is the The 39 Clues Complete Collection: Books 1-10 + all the sub series books :)

Why? Because David Pittu is the best audio book reader I have ever listened to.
You can listen to some samples here:

Our cumulative list:

Harry Potter

Brandy | 2535 comments I love the Harry Potter series. Jim Dale does an incredible job.
Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet I just really love this book.

You definitely need an awesome narrator or part of the story gets lost. example I love the Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I have read them all then I went back and listened to the audio. I got to The Outlaw Demon Wails and the narrator was different, and she wasn't nearly as good. That became my least favorite book in the series.

The narrator really makes a story...

I listened to The Giver as the audio book. One of the worst narrators ever. I could barely finish it.
Under the Never Sky is another one I don't recommend on audio..

A lot of dystopian YA books have pretty good female narrators.. with the exception of Shatter Me

Brandy | 2535 comments Good to know. I was debating between reading or listening to Under the Never Sky. Guess I will save myself the aggravation and read it on the Kindle.

Alright guys! I have one more to add to our DO NOT LISTEN list.

The Raven Boys

I am currently listening to this one now.. I am 12 chapters in and I could not tell you what's going on if you asked me. The narrator just doesn't vibe with me.. he sounds a little like Matthew McConaughy. I just keep zoning out.

This is definitely a ebook/real book one.
