Hi everyone! My name is Emily, I'm 22 and from New York State. I'm pretty new to goodreads and was looking for a group to join to get more involved in everything goodreads has to offer and this one seemed like a good fit. I'm not a huge fan of following more structured reading challenges with prompts, or book-a-month picks, so I liked that this group is all about setting your own goals and reading at your own pace.I like to read all different kinds of books, but I tend to find myself drawn to mysteries, thrillers, horror, speculative fiction, and YA. My goal is to read 26 books in 2022!
Hi! I'm SkyI recently took part in a reading challenge and I fell in love so I decided to join this group and start 2022 with a bang
I love reading classics, romance and fantasy but I'm quite open to anything.
My reading goal for next year is 24 books - 2 book per month
and 60 manga or graphic novels
Hi everyone! My name is Dinda from Bandung, Indonesia. I was looking for a group that can challenge me to read more books.
I like reading historical novels, fantasy, classic short stories, and self-improvement books.
My reading goal for next year is 10 books.
Hello all! I'm Jo from Australia and I'm hoping to read a whole lot more books in 2022. I have a whole collection I want to read for the first time, and also re-read next year, so hoping to hit 100 books.
I'm a sucker for romance, fantasy, fantasy romance haha and I love a good MM book.
Looking forward to meeting new peeps and discovering new books to read :3
Hi Everyone, I'm Emily from England, and i'm aiming to challenge myself in what I read in 2022! I want to read 30 books in 2022! I love dystopian fiction, fantasy, poetry, but I want to switch things up this year!
It looks like you are a very supportive group and I cant wait to get involved! :)
Hi I'm Bree and I'm from the USA. I've spent the last year pulling myself out of a multi-year reading slump and I'm hoping to move from my 30ish books this year to 52 books in 2022! I love reading historical romance, contemporary romantic comedies, fantasy, and have a soft spot for anything with a royalty/kingdom backdrop.I'm looking forward to moving outside my comfort zone. I'm hoping to read more nonfiction, thriller/horror, and more of the classics that I once loved <3
Hello 👋🏻 My name is Oscar. I’m from USA.
I finished my masters and landed a job.
Now it’s time to get back to my passion for reading.
I’ll be reading this year and working on learning skills and shaping the future.
I have plenty of goals written down for the new year. Reading is one of them so I’ll make sure to keep the focus on them all.
Hope you all flourish and achieve all the goals, that you set for the upcoming year. ✌🏻
Hi everyone,I uses to be here a lot (as Sovotchka / Silver) a long time ago. Then I forgot about reading books.
2021 got me started on long walks and audiobooks. For 2022 I am trying to get back into a challengy mood :).
Hi all! Not new but getting active. I joined several years ago and haven’t done much at all in the group. Life is such that I have a bit more time now. Cheers to a great New Year ahead!
Hi All,I’m not really new as I’ve been a member for a while, but up until now I haven’t posted or joined in with any of the challenges. Plan to change that in 2022 though! It would be nice to meet some more people to chat about books with as most people I know don’t read much.
I live in the UK and try to read different genres of books but my favourites tend to be contemporary or a good crime/thriller. Some of my faves from this year have been Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton, Love After Love by Ingrid Persaud, We Run the Tides by Vendala Vida and Hail Mary by Andy Weir.
Next year I’m aiming for 50/60 books, haven’t quite decided yet. This year my goal was 75 which I won’t quite reach but next year I’m going to be more picky about what I read and aim for quality over quantity - or at least that’s the plan :)
Look forward to chatting books with you all.
Carla
Hello Everyone, My name is Kimberley, I used to be part of GoodReads many years ago, but with life, it got put in the back burner. In 2022 my “goal” is 35 books. We shall see if that happens. ❤️
Hey there, new here and intrigued. I found this group through a booktuber I watch, and as I'm setting new goals for 2022 this seems like a great group to jump into. After a few rough years, I lost my enjoyment of most things (reading, music, etc) and I'm slowly finding joy in those things again. One of my key goals for the new year is to I want to read more and scroll (A LOT) less. Excited to find some new books, take on some challenges, and chat books with you all.
Hi everyone! My name's Nola and I'm new on Goodreads but definitely not a new reader. I mainly read romance, but I also enjoy the fantasy and historical fiction genres. I wasn't able to read much this year (about 30 books) seeing as I'm still a student and school takes up a ton of my time. But I've set new goals for 2022 and I'm hoping to reach them all. Please feel free to message me with any book recs or if you feel like talking about a book we've both read. I promise I'm all ears :)
Hi! I’m Tonya. I live in Colorado. This is my first Goodreads group, so still figuring this out. Found this group through exploring Goodreads. Looking for reading challenges. I’m ready to set my challenges for 2022. I have a pretty big range of reading interests. Ready to find more great reads.
Thank you all for joining our group and introducing yourself! We are so glad to have your here! But as we are about to start the new year, we are going to start a new Introduction Thread. Please join us here to meet our new members.
