Ken B PBS ran a show this morning called "Secrets of Scotland Yard". A lot of neat tidbits in there about the origins of the London police force and even a bit about the influence for Doyle's Moriarty. More than one nod in Doyle's direction.

Worth checking out if you can find it.

Margaret (margyw) Saw it a couple of months ago. It wasn't too bad but do wonder about the accuracy of the information, because another in the series was full of mistakes,

Anna Lord (annalordauthor) | 29 comments I've seen it twice on TV. The bit about Jack the Ripper was interesting ie, how a horrific crime can change/improve the way police work.
